Digital Display Temperature Controller

1. Confirmation of the Instrument
This product is suitable for using to control temperature in the equipments of the
industries of injection molding, extrusion , bottle blowing, foodstuff, package,
printing, constant temperature drying, metal heat treating and etc. This product is an
intelligent instrument whose PID parameters can be auto-tuning, and then its
employing method is very convenient. So this product is an optimum renewal
instrument to replace the older generation of the pointer electronic controller and
analog digital temperature controller. This product meets the requirements stipulated
by the industrial standard of Q/SQG01-1999 for the intelligent digital display
instrument. ,

2. Mounting of the Instrument
2.1 Matters Needing Attention
(1) Instrument needs to install in following environment:
(2) Atmospheric Pressure:8~106kPa
Environment Temperature:0~50℃
Relative Humidity:45~85%RH
(3) During installation, the following items should be paid attention to:
Rapid change of environment temperature may cause dew
Certain corrosive and inflammable gases
Direct shake or impact acting on the main structure of the instrument
Water, oil, chimerical articles, smoke fog or vapor pollution.
Too much dust, salt or metal powder
Direct blowing by air-conditioning or direct projection by sunlight
Accumulating place of heat radiation
2.2 Mounting Process
(1)According to the needed hole size for install, cut out the rectangle holes on the
panel for mounting the instruments.
( 2 ) When installing the
instruments more than one, the
distance between two edges of the
holes should be larger than 25mm in
horizontal direction and than 30mm in
vertical direction.
( 3 ) Insert the instrument into the
hole on the panel.
( 4 ) Insert mounting holder in the slot
for mounting the instruments.
( 5 ) Push tightly the mounting
holder to connect the instrument and the
panel firmly.

3 Wiring
3.1 Notices of Wiring
(1) For thermocouple input, the compensate line corresponding to the type of the
t thermocouple is needed to usage
(2) For thermo-resistance input, the three conducting wires with identical and low electric
resistance and identical length for connecting the thermo-resistance are needed.
(3)The input signal line should be mounted separated from the instrument’s power line, power
supply line and load line for avoiding leading-in the electromagnetism interference.

5. Operation
5.1 Sequence of the variety of functions
Put on Power

Display of Input Type:

Upper Row Displays ( Inp ), Lower Row Displays Calibration Mark (the type of
Sensor)
Display of Input Range: After about 4 seconds of display, the automatic conversation accomplished
Upper Row displays the upper limit of range , Lower Row displays Lower limit of
range
Standard Display Mode: Automatically returning if not press Key about 1 minute
Upper Row displays Measurement Value, lower Row displays Setting value

Press the Function Key Mode of Updating and Setting:

Upper Row is the setting code , Lower Row is the setting value

Press the Function Key more than 4 seconds Updating Control Parameter
Upper Row is the function code , Lower Row is the control parameter

5.2 The detailed explanation of the functions

After the instrument is power on, the upper row displays Inp and the lower row displays the
calibration mark of the temperature sensor. Passing through 2 seconds, the upper row displays the
upper limit of the measurement range and the lower row displays the lower limit of the
measurement range. After 2 seconds again, the upper row displays the Measurement Value and the
lower row displays the Set Point Value then the system comes into its normal operation state.
Set the temperature value: Press the SET key, the upper row displays SP value. Press the SHIFT
KEY to make the digital place that is needed to be updated to be twinkle. Pressor KEY, the
lower row displays its needed value. Press SET KEY, system return to its standard model state.
The Control Parameters’ Setting: Pressing the SET KEY above 4 seconds, the upper row displays
the prompt symbol of the control parameter (Detailed can see the list table for the control
parameters). Press the SHIFT KEY to make the digital place that is needed to be updated to be
twinkle. Pressor KEY the lower Row displays the needed value of the parameter. Carrying on
pressing the SET KEY, the upper row displays the parameter’s symbol in turn and pressing the
SHIFT KEY to make the place needed to be updated twinkle then press orKEY to make the
control parameter equal to its needed value. Again pressing the SET KEY more than 4 seconds,
system returns to its standard model state.
 If the lower part of the display window of PV value appears in , it illustrates that the
thermocouple is connected in reverse or the thermo-resistance is in short circuit state or the
measured temperature exceeded its measurement range. If the upper part of the display window of
PV value appears in , it illustrates that the thermocouple was in open circuit state or the
measured temperature exceeded its measurement range.
 The Auto-tuning Function for the instrument control parameters: After pressing  or KEY more
than 4seconds, the AT indicator twinkle, the controller starts its Auto-Tuning process. After the
temperature displayed passing through 1~2 times of wave propagation, Auto-tuning ended and

4
the AT indicator turn off  and then the system obtains a new set of PID parameters and the
instrument can operate according to this new set of PID parameters and this set of PID
parameters would save automatically in the controller.

AT Start AT End time

On/Off Control: When the instrument has provided the function of ON/OFF, under the PV/SV
display state if pressing the KEY more than 4 seconds, the control output and indication
stop, the SV window display OFF. Again press KEY more than 4 seconds, the normal
control output is restored
