A3 Target Strength of Mix Proportioning :-

a) Target Mean Streangth (MPa) 36 ( MoRT&H Table - 1700-5 )

As Per MoRT&H Clause 1704.2.2 Minimum required 32.5 Mpa

b)
sterngth cube at 28 days

` A4 Selection of Water Cement Ratio :-

a) As per MORTH Table 1700-2 Max 0.45

Which is = 0.44 Hence

b) Adopted Water Cement ratio 0.44
ok
A5 Calculation of Water Content :-

a)
As per IS 10262:2009 T.No. 2 max.water content for 20mm Max size of
aggregates is 186 liter for 25 to 50 mm slump
186.00 Liter

b) Estimated Water for 50 to 75 mm Slump =186+(3/100)*186 191.58 Liter

c) As Superplasticizers are used we redused water by 30 %

d) Based on trails we can reduced water to 20.00%

e) Hence,Water content =191.58-(191.58*20.0/100) 153.26 Liter

A6 Calculation of Cement Content :-

a) Adopted water-cement ratio 0.45

b) Minimum Cement Content (Kg/cum) 340 (MORT&H Table 1700-3)

c) Hence,Cement content (Kg/cum) 340 Hence oK

A7 Proportion of Volume of Coarse Aggregate & Fine Aggregate Content :-

Volume of coarse aggregate corresponding to 20 mm size aggregate and fine As per IS 10262:2009
a) 0.62
aggregate zone II Table-3

Adopted Coarse Aggregate content 0.62

For Pumpable concrete the above value should be reduced by

b) NA
10%

c) Volume of Fine Aggregate 0.38

d) Adopted Fine Aggregate content 0.38

A8 Chemical Admixture :-

1.1% By wt. of
a) Admixture content by mass of cementitious material (Kg) 3.74
Cementious material

A9 Calculation of Mix Design :-

a) Volume of Concrete = 1.00 m3

b) Volume of Cement = (Mass of Cement/Sp. Gr. of Cement) x (1/1000) = 0.1079

c) Volume of Water = (Mass of water/Sp. Gr. of water) x (1/1000) = 0.153

d) Volume of the admix = (mass of admix/Sp. Gr. of admix) x (1/1000) = 0.0025

e) Volume of all in aggregates = {a-(b+c+d} = 0.7363

f) Mass of coarse aggregate = e x Vol of CA x Sp. Gr. of CA x 1000

(0.7363*0.62)*((2.67+2.65)/2)*1000 = x = 1214.275 kg/cum

1) 20 mm 55 % (x*55/100) = 667.851 kg/cum

2) 10 mm 45 % (x*45/100) = 546.424 kg/cum

g) Mass of Fine aggregate = e x Vol of FA x Sp. Gr. of FA x 1000

(0.7284*0.38*2.6*1000) = 727.446 kg/cum
