Happy Holiday Season Mamas!
It’s such a wonderful season of family, fun and tradi-
tions.
This issue features Altomontes Italian Market, where
you can get everything you need this holiday season
from meats, wine, desserts, catering for your holiday
parties, and everything else you may need.
Mama will be at Altomontes on Dec14th for the
gingerbread making event . . . be sure to come make
a gingerbread house with mama from 10 to 11am at
the Doylestown location. I love this season, and try
and fill it up with as many holiday themed events as I
can squeeze in . . .
Here I am pictured with my girls last year as we
walked thru the Lehigh Valley Zoo Winter Light
Spectacular. Although my kids are older, they still enjoy all the fun things we did when they were little, and we
had so much fun that night. We bundled up, grabbed hot chocolate and enjoyed the beautiful lights.
Traditions are something your family will remember and cherish for years to come. Some other favorites of our
family are visiting Shadybrook Farm light show, then making smores over the fire, getting together to make
gingerbread houses, and finding a great tree farm, taking a drive out to the countryside, and cutting down our
tree.
This holiday season, be sure to take a minute to take it all in, I know you will all be so busy, but make sure
enjoy it as much as you can, try and slow down in some small way, and make time for new traditions and
memories. We have packed our holiday issue with tons of ideas, places to visit, and fun events for you and
your family to enjoy, as well as our giveaways on our facebook page to the Light Show at Shadybrook, so be
sure to check our page out frequently for contest and local events.
We want to wish everyone a beautiful Holiday Season full of love, joy and gratitude. We would also like to
thank all our fans, advertisers, and local businesses that make our lil guide going into our 10th year. We love
all of you, and are so grateful for your support and community! Happy Holidays Everyone!!!

Winter is approaching, and those of you with pet
reptiles might notice a change in their behavior!
Many reptile species from temperate areas, such as
Australia, the United States, Europe, and parts of
Africa, will enter a state similar to hibernation called
brumation during the winter months!
In the wild, this natural process will usually consist of
the animal ceasing to eat, finding a burrow where the
temperature is cool but not cold, and then lightly
sleeping through the cool months.
Not all reptiles in captivity that brumate in the wild will
want to every year, but may decide to on their own!
If your pet decides it wants to brumate, you will be
able to tell by a drastically decreased diet, going to
sleep earlier or more often, or sleeping in cooler
areas.
You can assist your pet by first checking that it is healthy, and then by researching the conditions that they like to
have during this time!
Not all reptiles brumate though, so make sure it is natural for your pet and take it to a veterinarian if it isn’t!

Hello fellow parents!

We are super excited to join your community! We thank everyone who has brought their family and
friends to spend time at Urban Air Willow Grove. Here’s a little bit of information on us, the franchise
owner/operators. We are the proud parents of three wonderful girls and we had a dream of
launching a business that could really add enrichment to our family life, as well as to the lives of
other parents. We both have corporate backgrounds in the sales arena (technology, pharmaceutical
and medical). In the growing age of technology and electronics, we saw the opportunity to own
and operate an Urban Air Adventure Park franchise as a great way to provide an alternative form of
entertainment for families and businesses. At Urban Air Willow Grove, families and friends can
gather to play, explore, socialize and find adventure together. Our tagline is “Activate Awesome” –
our goal is ensure that everyone has a fun and safe time at the park and create lasting memories!

Let’s Activate Awesome!

Mama's Pic for a Great Holiday Town
I have always loved the town of Perkasie for all the great local businesses, farmers markets, and great community
events. I wanted to highlight them to share all the great things they do and have available so that you may find a
new place that you will love to visit as well. Special Thanks to Lovely Lady Bugs Consignment shops for sponsor-
ing this page. Visit this great kids consignment shop for deals and things you need for your family!

Things to do in Perkasie:
Perkasie's town center is beautiful in December! On Dec 7th Join specially selected vendors in a heated tent at the
corner of 7th & Market. Grab a cup of cocoa, some AWESOME gifts, and head over to find shopping and dining
specials at our town center stores and eateries then Mary Poppins and Bert fly in to Perkasie's town center for the
nation's oldest community Tree Lighting Ceremony, 5pm-8pm Now in its 110th year, Perkasie's traditional
ceremony began in 1909 and is officially the oldest community tree lighting ceremony in the United States.

Santa arrives to light the tree at 7pm at this traditional family event. He rides in on a Perkasie Borough Electric Truck
then travels to the very top of the tree to turn on the lights. One lucky child will climb the stage and flip the switch to
light the tree: every child who brings a non-perishable food item for Pennridge FISH is entered into a drawing to
win the honor.

Tip 3 - Use room temperature eggs and butter. I know, but it

Fun Holiday Craft Gnomes
I made these little gnomes and gave them as gifts last year if I went to a house party or
saw a friend over the holidays. They are so easy to make. Start with a white sock and
cut the long piece off, fill with rice and use a tiny rubber band to secure the top, then
shape a small nose in the middle using your fingers and another small rubber band.
Then you can get cute colorful winter fuzzy socks at the dollor store and use the same
color or mix and match the bodys and the hats. The furry beard was a piece of material
you can get a craft store and cut out the triangle. Use the bottom of the sock for the body
and put over the white rice filled bottom, and get a taller styrofoam cone and hot glue
onto the top and then use the other piece of the sock to cover. I also used twine, and
candy canes for more decor. The opportunites are endless! And it’s a fun craft to do with
the kids too. Keep an eye out for a live video on our page and I will make one so you see every step on
our Facebook page Dec 6th at 11am.
