PRE-LESSON Students was told that they are going on a long and difficult walk
home. Teacher use pictures or flashcards to teach/review long
grass, river, village.
LESSON DELIVERY 1. Students asked to stand in a circle, or to stand at their desks if
there is not enough space for a circle in your classroom.

LESSON DELIVERY 1. Teacher shows the flashcards and drill the four new words.
Students explained how these are words with two sounds
(syllables). Teacher shows how each word is made up of the two
sounds. Students play a game where students have to listen and
say the second syllable. Students use picture flashcards. Teacher
introduce/review the written word at the end of this stage of the
lesson only.
Activity 3 (SB page 49)
1. Students will listen to three descriptions and they have to
number the pictures from 1-3 according to what they hear.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to
1. To identify items in a house
2. To learn about the traditional Japanese house
PRE-LESSON Students asked what they remember about the room in the
Japanese house from Student’s Book, p.48. Students play a word
game that will review and introduced furniture vocabulary.
LESSON DELIVERY Activity 4 (SB page 49)
1. Students directs attention to Sue and Lucy and aked to
guess what they are doing.
2. Teacher plays the Cd and students chorally repear the
sentence.
3. Students divided into pairs and they take turns to describe
their living rooms to their partner and draw.
4. When all students have drawn the rooms, students
present their partner’s living rooms to the rest of the class.
5. Student divided in large groups (6–8 pupils). They collect
the drawings and put them in a pile in the middle of the
group. In turns, students take a picture. Without showing
it, they should describe it. Other students in the group
should guess whose picture it is – It’s
hers/his/mine/yours.
POST LESSON The whole class learn two or three of the words teacher have given
them individually as extra in this lesson
