BJT INPUT AND OUTPUT CHARACTERSTICS

Aim:- To infer the input and output characteristics of a Bipolar Junction Transistor.

Components required :-

1. Dual power supply

2. Dvm as voltmeter (0-15V),(0-1V)
3. Micro ammeter (0-100µA)
4. Milli ammeter(0-50V)
5. Patch chords
6. PCB
7. Transistor (BC107)
8. Resistors(R1=100KΩ,R2=1KΩ)
9. Soldering wire
10. Soldering Gun

Procedure:-

1) Solder the components using the soldering gun and soldering wire to complete the circuit.
2) Connect the circuit with the power sources, ammeters as shown in the circuit diagram.
3) For input characteristics, switch the power supply on, set the value of v ce=0 and by varying the values of
vbe ,note the values of ib
4) Repeat the following for different values of vce
5) For output characteristics, an ammeter is added in the circuit to measure the output current, keeping the
value of ib fixed, vary vce and note down the variation in ic
6) Repeat the same process for different values of ib
