Some people say 18-year olds are too young to vote. Others disagree.

Nowadays, politics are the topic that the whole population is worried about. Some
people tend to think that the government should let adolescents to decide who will lead the
country, others do not.
One the one hand, there are many statements in favour of the first mentioned point of
view. Firstly, it is believed that a eighteen year old person is mature enough to take part in
making political choices and that by voting they contribute to the comunity. For example,
Denmark is one of the most successful state in the world and every day is getting richer and
richer. There, it is allowed to vote as soon as you turn eighteen. Secondly, every country aspire
to keep as more young people as it is possible. Therefore if they could have the ability to
change the environment they live in, it is more likely they will stay.
On the other hand, there are many who feel unsafe if social and economic state
depends on a brain of a teenager. To begin with, many people point out that you should note
vote until you are fully independent. For example, 72% of Croatian 18-year olds are
unemployed. Futhermore, because of their still unformed viewpoints they tend to vote for
whoever their family is voting for and that vote should be reflection of their mind, not their
parents minds. Another example is that the 2018 researches had shown that our psychological
side of brain is not fully developed until the age of 21.
In conclusion there are, evidently, both pros and cons of allowing teenagers to vote.
Some may say it is a political progres progress, but others see it as a prohibition to decide about
their future life. Personally, I agree more with second point of view.
