Narrator: A ghost can live anywhere. Some ghosts can live in haunted
houses or graveyards and some ghosts even live in trees. Secret keepers are
drawn to the tree. They put their secrets in the hole, the ghost eats them.
Every town has its stories and superstitions. In Catonsville, we have the
Secret Tree.
Narrator: Minty and Paz, best friends since elementary school, are walking
home from practicing roller derby, when a bright flash in the woods captures
their attention.
End Scene
Narrator: Minty was not able to catch up to whatever caused the flash. A
couple days later, Minty hears some rustling inside her garage. She goes in
looking to see what is causing all the noise.
Minty: (Looking at the intruder) Who are you?! Why are you here?!
Raymond: YAH!
Raymond: (Jumps and karate kicks and run away with picture from the box
in hand)
Minty: I’m going to hurt you, I just want to find out who you are!
Minty: What were you doing in my garage?! Why did you take something?!
Narrator: What Minty didn’t know was that Raymond had been spying on
Minty and her friends to solve the secrets from the secret tree.
Raymond: I’m trying to f-f-figure out what who these secrets belong to.
Narrator: Raymond decided to take Minty to the forest to show her the
secrets from the secret tree.
Raymond: I’ve seen people from the neighborhood come and drop off notes
with secrets on them.
Minty: (picks up and reads three notes) I’ve betrayed my best friend in a
horrible way, no one loves me except my goldfish, I don’t want to grow up.
