1. Settings are now stored in an .ini file
..\Data\settings\WinRAR.ini

2. In addition, WinRAR.exe no longer silently elevates :)

So now non-admin users don't have to worry about anything.

3. If you're using my old version.. export your settings to .ini format.

Options > Import/Export > Create WinRAR.ini file
Now paste into: WinRARPortble\Data\settings

Note: you can keep a backup in ..\Data\My Documents

this method bypasses Online downloading.

for instance:
- if you would like to install with a specific version..
- if your Internet connection is incompatible..
- if the Installer is not working correctly..
- if you're a tech. who plan to install on multiple machines.
- or to install a specific language.

1. Download: http://www.rarlabs.com/
2. Rename to "WinRAR.exe" or "WinRAR64.exe" depending on architecture
3. Place next to WinRARPortable_5.30_32bit_64bit_Multilingual_online.paf.exe
4. Install as normal

OPTIONALLY: pass -x or /x for extraction only.

# ASSOCiATiONS:

I've made it super easy to add associations.

1. Navigate to: WinRARPortable\App\AppInfo\Launcher

2. Open RARPortable.ini with Notepad or any text editor
3. Scroll down to: [Associations]
4. Simply add desired assocation underneath in numerical sequential order.

ie.
[Associations]
1=rar
2=rev
3=r00
4=zip
5=7z
6=tar
7=iso
8=etc...

Supported filetypes:
001, 7z, ace, arj, bz, bz2, cab, gz, iso, jar, lha, lzh, rar, rev, r00, r01,
r02, r03, r04, r05, r06, r07, r08, r09, r10, r11, r12, r13, r14, r15, r16, r17,
r18, r19, r20, r21, r22, r23, r24, r25, r26, r27, r28, r29, tar, taz, tbz, tbz2,
tgz, txz, uu, uue, xxe, xz, z, zip.

NOTES:
� Entries are case sensitive.
� Adding too many can impact launch time.
� Windows XP cache icons which are visible even after exiting WinRAR.
� Do not associate through WinRAR!
Doing so will cause trash in the registry.

# iNCORRECT TRANSLATiONS:

WinRAR was not designed for language switching.
Thus language switching has a bug.

If language is switched.. certain translations can become corrupt.

If you notice incorrect translations.. here's how to fix:

� navigate to: WinRARPortable\Data\settings
� Open RAR.reg > delete [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WinRAR\Profiles*]
(delete all sections with "Profiles")

1. Download desired theme: http://www.rarlabs.com/themes.htm
2. Launch WinRARPortable
3. Double click .theme file.
4. Lastly.. enable theme in WinRAR.

Default custom theme is included in Other directory.
