Es muy común comparar cosas utilizando adjetivos, por ejemplo: ‘Ese coche
es pequeño pero el otro es más pequeño’. Éstos se llaman adjetivos comparativos.

Los adverbios de lugar nos permiten indicar dónde se realiza una acción:
here, there, above, everywhere, away.
- Martin has lived there, beyond the hills, all his life.
- They walked far from their camp but couldn’t find any water.

Ejemplos:
Abroad: She has been living abroad for five years (en el extranjero)
Back: She is not coming back to school this year (detrás, hacia atrás)
Close: Keep your phone close in case she calls (muy cerca)
Downstairs: She ran downstairs to open the door (en el piso de abajo)
Los adverbios que señalan momento temporal suelen colocarse al final de frase.

Por lo general, los adverbios que indican durante cuánto tiempo sucede algo se
colocan al final de frase.

ADVERBIOS DE FRECUENCIA
Por lo general, los adverbios que indican con qué frecuencia transcurre una
acción se colocan antes del verbo principal pero después de los verbos auxiliares
(como be, have, may, must). La única excepción ocurre cuando el verbo principal
es "to be": en este caso, el adverbio se coloca después del verbo.
