ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The successful completion of this research was made possible through the helped of
the invaluable contribution of various people. To say “Thank You” to all of them is not
enough to express our deepest appreciation for their kindness to us.

First and foremost, praises and thanks to God Almighty for His showers of blessings
throughout our works to complete our research paper successfully. He gave us strength,
wisdom and enough knowledge to work hard. Also, for the protection that keeps us safe
while doing this study.

To the Senior High School Students of the Yverdon de Pestallozi School, Inc. batch
2019-2020, our respondents who gave their cooperation and time which made a big
contribution in the fulfillment of data used in this study.

To our Librarian, for generously welcoming our group and letting us borrow books,
check a few things for our reference materials that we need for our research.

To our beloved parents and family who allowed us to go home late and spend
overnight just to finish doing this. For providing our needs in terms of financial and moral
support. Their everlasting love and understanding are lifted us to do better and work harder.

We acknowledge the efforts of all the members of this research, a sincere thanks to
everyone who works as a team and become a family to achieve the main goal to accomplish
this task. We appreciated everyone for the cooperation of our teammates who gave their all
just to surpass this study. It wouldn’t be successful without the presence and participation of
each other.

And lastly, we would like to express our wholehearted gratitude to our research
adviser Mrs. Adelfa R. Quinto, for her unending patience, time, and effort and for giving us
all the support and guidance. Without having a better mentor like her that we consulting and
asking opinions for, this research study would not be possible. For willingly not giving up to
our shortcomings and baring our never-ending how-to-do. We are thankful and fortunate
enough to get constant encouragement and for believing in our skills that we can able to
finish this research.

DATA GATHERING PROCEDURES

The first time we try conducting this research we collected data using the interview.
On the 13th of March year 2019, the researchers started to interview some of the Grade 11
Senior High School Students. The interviews we had for the trial of gathering data are a total
of 20 participants. The respondents can able to elaborate their opinions and thoughts
regarding the different questions about the topic which helps the researchers to allocated
information that makes them knowledgeable enough in this study.

For Practical Research II, the researchers gathered and collected information through
the use of a survey questionnaire which carefully designed to accomplish the exact reasons or
data that this study is seeking.

The questionnaires were circulated after the researchers formally asked permission
from the selected participants. Upon receiving their genuine approval, the researchers have
undergone numerous steps and procedures as a result of having a well-ordered data gathering
process. The next step the researcher takes is to consider the availability of the schedule of
the respondents to avoid interrupting their class and activities. We conducted the survey to
the chosen respondents in their vacant time and class dismissal. Beforehand, we give more
explanation about the questions to clarify their concerns and have better understandings of
their responses. The researchers asked for their cooperation and assure that their answer is
secured because it respects the confidentiality of data that were accumulated.

Data gathered from answered survey questionnaires were immediately checked,

tallied, computed, tabulated, and analyzed for better presentation in this study.

academic performance.

CONCLUSION

Based on the findings of this research study, the researcher came up with the
following conclusion.

The findings of the study had resulted that the positive effect of using mobile
phones stands out rather than its negative factors to the selected Senior High School
Student of Yverdon de Pestallozi School on Academic Year 2019-2020. This study
proved that not because respondents indulge themselves in using and bringing phone in
school premises can result of not performing well in their studies. This study found out
that participants from Senior High School Students does not only used their mobiles
phones just to entertain or become disruptive during their class hours or discussions.

This proves that bringing mobile phones was not been affected students’
academic performance however it greatly helps them a lot in their academic proficiency
and they can excel more by utilizing it. They could able to balanced and manage their
study by using their mobile phones during only in their leisure activities and as well as
they know how to responsibly use it in this kind of setting.

v

highly suggest or recommend to do the following:

The researchers advised the parents to keep an eye with their children manners on
its usage of mobiles phone in order to manage and maintain the proper discipline.
Besides, it propose the parents to interact more with their children to distance them from

act that can limit the misbehavior of the students’ actions in using their mobile phones
especially when it leads a bad effect involving their educations, health and personality

It suggest the students to properly understand and efficiently utilize mobile

phones to avoid distraction and other negative factor associated with it. Students should
