TIPAS NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL (GRADE 7-12)

PRE-IMMERSION 2019
Excellent Governance and Service

AUGUST 02, 2019 - FRIDAY

“EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER. “ -MRS. EVA R. GONZALES

One of the most important requirements of K to 12 Curricu-

lum is the Work Immersion Program for SHS grade 12 which
aims to develop learner’s life and career skills, and prepare them to
make decisions on post-secondary education or employment.
Through partnership building, DepEd hopes that the Partner Institu-
tions will provide learners with work immersion opportunities,
workplace or hands-on experience, and additional learning re-
sources. The Work Immersion Program is one of the course require-
ments for graduation. A SHS student has to undergo work immer-
sion in a business organization or establishment with work require-
ments related to the specialization. Through work immersion, the
students are exposed to and are familiarized with the work-related
environment related to their field of specialization.
On August 02, 2019, Tipas National High School conducted a pre-
immersion orientation to the incoming immersionist-the Grade 12
students. Ms. Claren A. Morcilla and Mr. Rubel R. Maritana, served
as the Masters of the Ceremony.
The program started with the
singing of the National An-
them conducted by Ms. Rona
M. Cruzada, Math Teacher,
and immediately followed by
an invocation led by Mrs. Ca-
mille V. Umali, SSG Adviser.
Ma’am April Suzette C.
Montealto, Immersion Adviser, introduced the resource speakers from different immersion partners
which includes Southern Premier, Department of Social Work and Development (DSWD), Philippine
National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and San Juan Beauty Salons. Speakers’
achievements and designations were highlighted in this program .

“Kapag social worker ka, problema ng may problema,

poproblemahin mo,” Mr. Arnold Enriquez

The first resource speaker was Mr. Arnold Enriquez, Southern Premier
manager and MSWDO representative. He tackled the duties of a social
worker as well as the experiences of the previous immersionists in their
department. As part of his motivation he noted that the immersion pro-
gram enables them to decide which career they will choose in the near
future. He promised, together with his colleagues that they will do their
very best for the immersionists to learn on how to socialize during ten-
day stay in their department. “Kapag social worker ka, problema ng
may problema, poproblemahin mo,” he quoted. Moreover, as a General
Manager of Southern Premier Travel and Tours, he shared the services
that they offer. “Pinipilit po naming na ituro sa kanila ang system at
portal na ginagamit namin.”, he added.
Mrs.Rachell R. Masigla

The second resource speaker was Mrs.Rachell R. Masigla from PNP. She
shared the qualifications on how to be a policeman. “Immersionist pa lamang
kayo ay ipararanas ko na sa inyo ang mga kaunting mararanasan nyo kapag
pumasok kayo sa PNP,” she stated. She also motivated the grade 12 students
by sharing her experiences in the field. “Mag-aral kayo nang mabuti, upang
umani ng marami”, she quoted. The talk of Mrs. Masigla immediately fol-
lowed by one of the member of BFP. He gave an awareness to the tasks and
the responsibilities of the people inside their department. “Hindi lang kami sa
sunog, sa BFP, tuturuan naming kayo ng first aid at ituturo namin ang CPR,”
he cited.

industriya,” D’ EXECUTIVE BEAUTY SALON

TVL department successfully invited the hairdressers of San Juan

Beauty Salons. They talked about the attitude that the immersionists should
possess while working with them. They advised the students to be patient
enough because they will be dealing with various types of costumers. They
also discussed about the importance of immersion for the students. “Ang im-
mersion ay isang paghahanda para sa industriya,” one of them said.. The pro-
gram finished with A closing remark delivered by the SHS guidance teacher,
