1. Discus the 3 condition to the choosing of the Passover lamb. based this explain how
Jesus as the Passover lamp went through the preparation period 4 days between 11th
to 14th January

Three days before his crucifixion on Sunday of the week of the crucifixion he entered
Jerusalem riding on a colt as a triumphant king on January 10th Exodus12:2says from now on
will be first month for you 12:3 announce to the whole community of Israel that on tenth day
of this month of this month each family must choose a lamb or a young goat for a sacrifice
one animal for each house hold.

The Passover lamb was to be:-

a. A male lamb or young goat

b. One year old
c. With perfect in health without blame defect whatsoever

The above clearly showed Jesus who was in his thirties (good in health and full of body power
and sinless) it is clear that about the Passover meals on Sunday 10th they were to go to go to the
market to buy the lamb and keep it for 4 days before killing it. They kept it on 12, 13, 14 and
killed it on 15th. Jesus in the name of Jehovah God commanded Moses to do this 1500 BC. To
fulfil this, Jesus on Jesus on 10th entered Jerusalem which and went out to the market to buy and
was actually arrested. For four days he would be examined to find out whether the lamb had
any defect, physical illness, crippled leg or with one eye or any skin disease. He was examined
by the governor Pontus Pilate and the notorious Jewish leaders.

On 10th January which in our calendar it was on Sunday Jesus entered Jerusalem to fulfill
prophesies. That’s why we call it palm Sunday. Jesus was before calphus to pontious Pilate
where he was handed over to be crucified. The soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear (for our
transgressions) but could not break his bones as he was already dead fulfilling the prophecy

2. Why did Jesus ride on a colt on his triumphant entry into Jerusalem in what we
know today as the palm Sunday

Jesus entered Jerusalem riding on a colt (baby donkey) as a triumphant king to show that he
was a suffering savant, a lamp to be sacrificed for the sins of all the people. He entered
Jerusalem to show himself that he was spotless and be examined by roman soldiers and
Governor Pilate and Jewish religious leaders. Now Jesus entered Jerusalem to fulfil his
prophesies on January 10th in our calendar it was on Sunday that is why it is called palm
Sunday.

3. Explain how the parable of the fig tree in Mathew 24:32 is related to Jesus second
coming

Mathew 24 and 25 are called mount olive discoes it states now learn this lesson from the fig
tree: as soon as its twigs become tender and its leaves come out you know that summer is
near. Even so, when you see all this things you know that it is near right at the door truly I
tell you this generation will not pass away until these things have happened. Heaven and
earth will pass away but my words will not pass away but about that day no one knows not
even the angles in heaven nor the son but only the father.it is good we do not know exactly
when the Christ will return. If we know the precise time we might be tempted to be lazy in
our work for Christ .Jesus purpose in telling us about his return for the people to repent .Jesus
was referring to the fig tree he had cursed. The fig tree the nation of Israel which was to be
destroyed for not bearing fruits. The Jews refused to accept Jesus as savior and their God. For
them to enter the grand plan of salvation for the second coming of Christ is to judge the
world.
