    On03/28/19atapproximately1500hrsR/DmetwithKaraWitkowskiinaninterviewroom
    locatedinthelobbyoftheElginPoliceDepartment.WitkowskinotifiedR/Dthatshehad
    locatedanexternalharddriveinthetrunkofhervehicle,a2018KiaNiroILplate5517EL.
    Witkowskiadvisedthattheexternalharddrivebelongedtoherex-boyfriend,ThomasBiel.
    WitkowskiandBielhadpreviouslyresidedtogetherat1849Larkin,andhadsharedaccessto
    Witkowski'svehicle.SubsequenttoendingherrelationshipwithBiel,Witkowskiwentthrough
    thecontentsofhervehicleandlocatedtheexternalharddriveinthetrunk.Witkowskirecalled
    seeingtheexternalharddriveinthetrunkonnumerouspreviousoccasions, andwasawareof
    itspresenceinthetrunk,buthadnotsearchedthecontentsoftheharddriveuntil03/28/19.
    On03/28/19Witkowskiandherfriendspluggedtheexternalharddriveintoalaptopand
    observedthatitcontainednumerousanimeimagesdepictingpornographicactsbetween
    adultsandchildren.Witkowskifoundtheimagestobedisturbingandbelievedthattheywould
    beconsideredaschildpornography.WitkowskiwasconcernedbythisassheandBielhad
    twosmallchildrentogetherandshewasconcernedforbothherandherchildren'swelfare.
    Witkowskithenturnedtheexternalharddrive,whichR/DobservedtobeanImation,Apollo,
    500GB,2.5inchportableharddrive,overtoR/D.R/DadvisedWitkowskithatthecontentsof
    theharddrivewouldbeexaminedforthepresenceofanythingthatcouldbeconsideredchild
    pornographyundertheapplicableIllinoislaws.
    R/DcontactedDCFSrepresentativeAmandaPatricoskiandnotifiedheroftheallegations.
