Growing up, I witnessed how “Tanging Yaman” would constantly flash in our television.

I wouldn’t
understand it as a child, there were too much events in the story, too complicated for me to comprehend.
But as I age and constantly see it on the television, I began to understand it inch by inch. I saw it at
advancing dimensions of comprehension since I was a child. It resembled constant reminder more than
once told. I even thought about whether the intended interest groups don't get exhausted with such film
being played again and again on our TV screens. Sufficiently genuine, it was intended to be a reminder to
be stuck on our minds. A reminder that reveals to us that the main fortune we have is our family.

Perceiving how complicated the family of Loleng become, connections were nearly separating. In the
end, with their love and undying adoration towards their mom, given way by the accident of Rommel,
Danny, Arturo, and Grace, their family began to be reunited despite the differences and difeerent
personalities of the children. This proves that no matter what situation life throws at us, we will always go
home to our family, the only treasure we can call ours.

To be sure, what was depicted isn't a mile far from the real world. Every single family has encountered
difficulties and battles and it is upon the qualities sustained and ingrained that will do marvels to make it
go through. I won't go into subtleties of any family's records yet I know that we do have such issue at one
point in our course of events. The movie "Tanging Yaman" urges Filipino families to be grounded to the
qualities that predicament them as one. More so, understanding and regarding every relative's
perspectives and viewpoint improves connections. Regardless of the evolving times, there will
dependably be one thing that you can generally depend on that would love us genuinely and comfort us,
our family.

Seeing the motion picture would definitely lead us to being able to reflect some of the family traits every
Filipino family would possess. These traits are namely Family-Oriented, Christ-centered, resilient,
respectful, and hospitable.

Most people in the Philippines are family-oriented. When they do something, they would always consider
how their family would feel or how it would affect their family. Hence, being family-oriented. The casts
in the movie were able to show that in whatever situation we are, it is our family that we can hold on to.
One of the precious things that we have in our life is Family. We could not live without them, since they
become our support system and our life. A family is the most important thing we have and we should
treasure, love and care for it.

The Filipino trait of Christ-ceneteredness was also evident in the movie. Numerous times the family of
Loleng had to face trials but through their faith in God they were able to surpass all of these. They made
sure God was the center of their family and decisions. Ad because of this trait, they were able to
overcome every hardship life had to offer them.

Next is resiliency, Filipinos, for all we know are courageous. Courageous in a way that they would
stumble and fall, but they will bounce back and rise. No matter how hard life may seem to be, they would
always find reasons to start another day with full smiles and positivity. In the movie, we would see how
numerous times the family would nearly separate and lost its connection, but many times too, we would
see how they would stand up as a family and find reasons to keep fighting.
Respectful. A ten-letter word which perfectly describes a Filipino family. The children in the movie
would always use “po” and “opo” while talking to elders. A sign of respect common among Filipino
families. Another gesture of respect is the traditional “pagmamano” to the elderly people. Many events
mirrored this trait of Filipino families in the movie.

Filipino families are known to be hospitable. They always welcome expected and unexpected guests
whole-heartedly no matter what the situation is. In the movie, we saw hhow complicated Loleng’s family
was but in times of need, they never rejected anyone who asked for help. The family was more than
willing to entertain and give attention to the guest. This Filipino trait is one of the well-known traits we
possess.

The movie was sure full of learning which we could apply in our daily lives and may this be a constant
reminder that the only treasure we have greater than gold or diamonds is our beloved family.
