ROSARY MONTH DEVOTION

CULMINATING ACTIVITY
Thursday, October 31, 2019
6:00 p.m.
Grounding: Marian songs (Instrumental)
Introduction:
We are gathered to culminate our Rosary Month Devotion. In this Holy Rosary we will focus our
prayer on the Luminous Mysteries of Jesus. We are live the Luminous Mysteries of His life with
Holy Mary, Mother of Light. As we pray each decade we meditate on the spiritual fruit embodied
within the mystery and ask God for help in those areas of our lives where a particular fruit is
especially needed.
In this Holy Rosary we also remember our brothers and sisters especially the victims of calamities
that affected our country as well as our country. As we celebrate the year of the youth, let us beg
through the loving and motherly intercession of Mary that God may strengthen our young to be
withnesses to Christ by world and deed and to spread and defend the faith.
Opening prayer:
Heavenly father, we humble ourselves in your Holy Presence. We acknowledge Your holiness and
we confess that we are sinners. In Your Holy Name, we forgive those who have offended us and
we pray that you forgive us from our sins. Grant us the joy of Your presence as You fill us with
Your grace, Peace and Love.
Almighty Father, we pray that Your Divine will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. We also pray
for the intentions of Holy Father, for the needs of the church, for vocations to the religious life
especially to our congregation, for the faithfulness and holiness of priests, for the conversion of
sinners, for the intentions of our congregation. We pray for the poor and the needy, for the victims
of famine, war, natural disaster, divorce, abortion, and family problems. For those who suffer
unemployment, depression, harassment and other problems. We pray for the leaders of our
congregation and nations, for the people in government to be guided by the Holy Spirit. We pray
also for ourselves, we ask You to give us healing in body, mind and soul. Lord Jesus, on your
crucified body, you took upon yourself the punishment that is due for our sins, you endured our
sufferings and the consequences of sins: sickness and death. We pray for the dying, for all the
dead, for the poor souls in purgatory, especially for the members of our families and for all the
faithful departed. We ask you to have mercy on them o Lord by the power of your most holy
wounds, by the merits of your Holy passion, agony and death, and by the merits of the sorrows of
the immaculate Heart of Mary. Amen.

THE LUMINOUS MYSTERIES
THE FIRST LUMINOUS MYSTERY- The baptism in the Jordan.
John the Baptist, while preaching the gospel of repentance, proclaims that although he baptizes
with water, one is soon to come who will baptize with the Holy Spirit. Jesus comes to John to
receive the gift of baptism at the river Jordan. The sky is opened and the trinity is made manifest
as the voice of the father resounds, and the Holy Spirit descends upon the son in the form of a
dove. It is at this moment that the sacrament of baptism is instituted, and Jesus public ministry is
initiated. This mystery teaches us of the extraordinary gift of the faith. In baptism, by no claim of
our own, we are invited into God’s family. We are to go forth spreading the goodness of His name
and healing those with which we live.

THE SECOND LUMINOUS MYSTERY- The Wedding Feast at Cana
During the wedding at Cana, Jesus performs the miracle of turning water into wine at the request
of his mother, the Virgin Mary. John tells of this event: “His mother said to the servants, Do
whatever He tells you. Jesus said to them, Fill the Jar with water. And they filled them up to brim.
One meditation for this mystery is charity and faith. The other is to Jesus with Mary, which is a
way of saying that Mary will intercede for us.

THE THIRD LUMINOUS MYSTERY- The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God
God send his only son into this world to proclaim the Kingdom of God and engage in a mission of
healing and the forgiveness of sins. Each of this activities is an expression of the saving presence
of God or the kingdom of God. The gospel of John give wonderful expression to this redemptive
plan of God when he writes: God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but
that he world might be saved through him. To accomplish his mission of healing and forgiveness,
Jesus willingly divested himself of his divine glory and handed himself over totally to the service
of humanity, even to the point of shedding his blood. Our response to God overflowing goodness
is personal conversion and acceptance of God’s saving power in Jesus.

THE FOURTH MYSTERY- The Transfiguration
The event dramatically remind us that Jesus is truly divine as well as human. The glory of Jesus
divine nature is usually hidden by his humanity. But now Gods voice from the cloud proclaims the
full meaning of Christ: This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him”.
Pope Francis was write the letter for young people, he was said that you young people, the faith
and vocational Discernment. Holy Father also address all the young people of the world believers
and non believers encouraging them to discover the characteristic values of youth. It recognizes
their willingness to serve others and invites them to put this attitudes into practice from a Christian
perspective “To be at the service of others does not only mean to be ready for action. It means also
to be in conversation with God with in attitude of listening, just like mother Mary. She listened to
what the angel said to her and then She responder.

THE FIFTH LUMINOUS MYSTERY- The Institution of the Eucharist
The fifth and final mystery of Light takes us to Jesus Last supper, where he shares his very self
with his disciples in the form of bread and wine. It is truly an expression of God’s saving presence-
Gods kingdom of love- among us in the form of a banquet. This holy meal unites us in love with
prayer merges with that of Christ and with the public prayer of the whole assembly. This mystery
of the Eucharist is truly illuminating in that it reveals Gods amazing care for us. The God revealed
here is a loving servant ready to hand over his entire self to nourish, forgive, unite and heal us. He
leaves his disciples with a memorial, a sacrament of love, by which his saving presence stays with
us in a wonderful way until the end of time.
