TOTAL STATION PROCEDURE

AS BUILT/ ACTUAL SURVEY (PERIMETER FENCE)

To Set up the Total Station:

Look for the spot that you can see all the corner as your reference
1 point.

First level na tripod or the legs of the total station. Make sure that
2 you are comfortable with its height if not, reduce it.

Put the total station at the top of the tripod. Place it at the center
3 then use the bubble on the base of the total station as the
reference to level it. The bubble must be at the center of the circle.

Then there is another bubble at the middle. Level it same as what

4 you did on the first bubble.

To save the data that you will be collecting:

Click "Menu" -> "F1: Collect Data" -> "File Name" -> Enter

Note: F1 (Erase)

6 Click "F1" Input Occ. Pt (Input Coordinates)

I.HT: "Enter the height of the Total Station from the ground floor to
the middle of the body of the total station"

9 Lastly, "Collimate BS"

 Starting to Collect Points:

PT#1

PCODE: "CORNER 1"

Look to the lens of the total station and target the corner of the
fence for your CORNER 1. Then lock.

Click "Save" -> "Repeat"

PT#2

PCODE: "CORNER 2"

Look to the lens of the total station and target the corner of the
fence for your CORNER 2. Then lock.

Click "Save" -> "Repeat"

Repeat Step no. 10 and so on. Just change the PCODE from 1 to any
12 number that you may need until last point.

13 "Finish"

TO TRANSFER DATA (TOTAL STATION TO SD CARD)

1 Click "Menu"

2 Click "F3: MEMORY" -> Click S.O *Twice*

3 Click "F2: FILE OPERATION"

4 Click "F2: EMS -> SD CARD"

Search for the data that you saved from the memory of the total
5 station. Look for the "PTS" format.

6 Click "ENT" *Twice*

TO VIEW DATA (PLOT ON SCREEN)

1 Click "Menu"

2 Click "F3: MEMORY" -> Click "F3: DATA SEARCH"

3 Click "F2: DATA SEARCH" -> "COORDINATE DATA"

Search for the data that you saved from the memory of the total
4 station. Then "ENT"

Click "F1: FISRT DATA" to view the points that you created. (Scrool
5 Down/Up)

6 Click "F4: PLOT" to plot all the points.

TO VIEW AREA

1 Click "Menu"

2 Click "F2: PROGRAM" -> Click "F3: AREA"

3 Click "F1:FILE"

4 Search for the data that you saved. Then "ENT"

5 Click "LIST" to see the points that you created.

6 On the first point Click "F3" then "YES" then "ENT"

7 Repeat Step no. 6 until your last point.

TO TRANSFER DATA (SD CARD to CADD)

1 YOU MAY NEED THE TWO APPLICATIONS

2 Copy the file from SD CARD to DESKTOP

3 Open the NTS APPLICATION (BLUE)

7 Search for you file on the desktop.

 Click "FILE" -> "SAVE AS" to save your file and save it as "CSV"
9 Format to make your file into an excel format.

10 Drag you newly save CSV file to NTS APP (RED)

11 Click "Transform"

12 "CASS Coordinate (600)"

15 Click "Transform"

16 "CASS Coordinate ->DXF"

16 Your file is already a cadd file. Check in on desktop.

17 Double click your cadd file.

*On Cadd* To see all plotted points Type "Z" for Zoom -> "E" for
18 Extent"

To make the points visible Type "PDMODE" -> "2" for the size of the
19 points.

20 Then connect all the points to see the actual lot plan.
