PATPKP UNAND :

The Center for Technology Transfer and Development of Agricultural Area of Andalas
University (PATPKP UNAND) is an area where the process of dissemination of agricultural
technology transfer is done. In the area can be seen the implementation of various activities,
especially in the wide field of agriculture including agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries,
and forestry. The place is also expected to be a place to interact between technology
producers and technology users. The location in Jorong Galagah, Kenagarian Alahan
Panjang, Lembah Gumanti Districts, Solok Regency, West Sumatra Province. The location is
about 70 km from Padang City which is located at 01˚ 055̍ 38.33̋ LS and 100˚ 475̍ 30.33̋ BT with
an altitude of ± 1620 mdpl.

Danau Kembar :
The lake is called by Danau Kembar or Twin Lake because they are closely located and the
two lakes are on Bukit Barisan hills area. West Sumatera people call the lakes with Danau
Diateh and Danau Di bawah. The lakes are about 60 Km from Padang, the capital city of
West Sumatra Province. If you want to see the two lakes, you just go up to the peak of Bukit
Barisan hills between Diateh and Dibawah lakes. It has beautiful scenery because there are
mountains and tea plantation. Because the lake is located on the high land, this tourism area
has fresh air. The location in Bungo Tanjung, Alahan Panjang, Solok, West Sumatera
Province, Indonesia.
Tea Plantation :
a. Alahan Panjang, Solok Regency
Many Indonesians people think that tea plantation is only the top of Bogor in West
Java Province. But in West Sumatera, precisely in Solok District there is also a vast
expanse of tea gardens built since 1980 by PTPN-VI by mobilizing transmigrant
workers from Java and the local community. Now, Solok Regency is known as a
famous producer of tea leaves on the Sumatra Island.
Most of the production in PTPN VI Kebun Danau Kembar is exported to many
countries in the world. Only a small portion is marketed in Indonesia. By 2015, tea
export by the company reaches 89%. Only 11% of tea products are marketed in
Indonesia. Tea products from PTPN VI Kebun Danau Kembar are exported to 24
countries all over the world. The destination countries of Tea Twin shipping are
Afghanistan, Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, England, Germany, India,
Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Egypt, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan,
Poland, Poertorico, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates,
and the United States.
b. Liki, South Solok Regency
Mitra Kerinci mainly produce green tea and black tea. Mitra Kerinci also produce
specialty tea such as White Tea, Red Sinensis and Green Sinensis.With an annual
production of 3.5 million kilogram of tea per years and 2.205 acres of tea plantation,
now we are the biggest green tea factory in the Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

The Saribu Rumah Gadang (One Thousand Traditional House) Zone, South Solok
Regency
Zone of 1,000 Rumah Gadang (One Thousand Rumah Gadang village) is a traditional
house located in Koto Baru village, Sungai Pagu sub-district, Solok Selatan regency, 141 km
away from Padang City. Almost the entire dwelling places in the area are lineage houses.
Natural beauty of the village was once used as the movie setting of Tenggelamnya Kapal Van
der Wijck (The Sinking of Van der Wijck), an adaptation of a late 1930s Indonesian novel of
the same title penned by Haji Abdul Malik Karim Amrullah, who is better known as Hamka.

Bidar Alam Village


Bidar Alam is the historical site of the Emergency Government of the Republic of Indonesia
(PDRI) in Bidar Alam. There are some historical sites yet to be identified and listed and are
subject to development in the future. The evidence still there like office, Mesjid, radio station
and monument but not well maintained. Not only that Bidar Alam Village had many cave and
beautiful forest there. The community have collective action to conserve the natural resource
for future like reforestation also doing fun activities with teenagers like camp to inform about
nature.
