Parwan+Co proposes to develop a large scale agricultural precinct in
Parwan. The Parwan+Co Agri Hub will include a range of advanced
food processing businesses, starting with a state-of-the-art Protein
Recovery Facility at 3922 Geelong-Bacchus Marsh Road.
This facility will convert waste products from local meat production
into useable, high value products such as tallow (a biofuel), bone and
meat meal.
Parwan+Co is calling for community feedback on the proposal, which
will create 50 full time direct jobs, 115 indirect jobs, and 160 jobs
during construction. Subject to Council and EPA support, construction
would begin in 2020.

on roads
Following Moorabool Shire Council’s recent ‘Have Your Say’
survey on road safety issues, upcoming community information
sessions will allow residents to share their thoughts.
A presentation will be conducted to provide a summary of the
road safety data collected from the survey, and to outline the results
and key themes from feedback received.
The community workshops will be held on Tuesday, 19 November
and Thursday, 21 November from 6pm – 8pm.
Following these sessions, a Draft Moorabool Community Road
Safety Strategy will be developed and will then be presented to
Council for consideration.
Mayor Cr Paul Tatchell encouraged as many people as possible to
attend an information session and have their say.

A remorseful man appeared before Magistrate Gregory

1 November, after a verbal argument turned violent with his
now ex-partner.
The accused, who will remain unnamed to protect the vic-
tim’s identity, returned home from work and engaged in a
verbal dispute with his partner [the victim] on May 30, the
court heard.
It was alleged by Prosecutor, Senior Constable Helen Farm-
er, the verbal dispute between the accused and victim esca-
