You will need one 50g ball of each of the following -
Yarn A - white 4-ply (Drops Alpaca shade 1101; B - off-white 4-ply (Drops Alpaca shade
knitting pattern by Claire Garland 0100); C - white mohair (Rico Essentials Super Kid Mohair loves Silk shade 001);

Plus small amounts yellow yarns for the bill and feet - Drops Flora shade 17 and Drops

NEEDLES Pair 3.75mm/ US 5 knitting needles plus pair smaller 3.50mm/ US 4 knitting

TENSION 15 rows and 11 stitches over 5cm with 3.75mm/ US 5 knitting needles

15 right side sts - 30 sts you’ll join when you’ve completed the bill. See Fig 2
Row 23 P - pull tension taut as you p across the join. Remove markers.

BREAST
With yarns A, B & C (white and off-white 4-ply and white mohair), beg. at
the duck’s right breast marker, with the larger knitting needles (3.75mm/
US 5) pick up and knit 12 sts evenly up to the front seam, pick up one
stitch at the seam then from the seam pick up and knit 12 sts evenly NECK SEAM
Stuff the duck, working it into the shapings at the top and back head, Row 12 P1, k3, p1, k3, p1
neck, back and breast - don’t stuff the tail though. Row 13 inc) Kfb, p3, k1, p3, kfb - 11sts
Position and fit the eyes - see photograph for placements - making sure Row 14 P1, k4, p1, k4, p1

To create the indent either side of the head bend a length of Row 16 P1, k5, p1, k5, p1
yarn in half and pass the cut ends through a yarn sewing needle. .. bottom of foot

eye and out the other side of the head then back in to emerge back out
