 Context and justification

NEW GENERATION OF LAVANNEAU, as young who have been grown up in

Lavanneau we reflect daily to see the problems of our community and see what we can do to
help it moving forward. After conducting a survey aimed at determining the percentage of
adults who can read and write in the section communal of Lavanneau, We notice, Most of
people who have been born from the period 1970 are almost all illiterates. This category of
people has never been to school, that explains all of them are even unable to write their name.
To sign their names, they have to make a cross sometimes. They always feel uncomfortable.
As we are young, who have the opportunity to attend school, we have decided not to remain
indifferent to this problem.

We are deeply touched by the situation, it is for this reason we would like to act so that we
can reduce the rate of illiterates in Lavanneau. To attend this goal,we need to: first of all,
sensitize the parents on the importance of education so that they can send their children to
school. And secondly, open a special school for the olds who are at least 30 years old where
not only we would help them to be able to write, read and calculate the basic elements like: their
names, numeracy, etc. but also they would be taught to be conscious on the true problems of the
county to which everyone must do something.

 Modality of implementation

To realize that project, several preparations will be held. Like:

1- Meeting with the local authorities

2- Identification of the beneficiaries
 3- Purchase opening equipment
4- Purchase school supplies for the Olds School.
5- Sensitization of the population on the importance of education

 Target public
Due to different factors that cause the illiteracy rate rises in Lavanneau: problem
of attending school during the childhood period; low economic means that prevent
people from meeting their needs; disinterest for education; so, our project aims Olds men
and women, who are at least 30 years old and who are unable to write, read and have no skill
with numbers and mathematics; and the families who must be sensitized on the importance of
education so that they can send their children to school on time.

 Logic of intervention

General objective
Contribute to reduce the rate of illiterates in Lavanneau 11th section communal

Specific objective
Alphabetize 20 adults who are at least 30 years old in Lavanneau each year.

Expected result
20 adults who are at least 30 years old are formed in writing, reading and numeracy each
year.

Activities
1- Set up an evening school in Lavanneau.

2- Sensitize the population to avoid discrimination against illiterate people and to the
importance of education.

2- Organize formations with the basic organization in the area, with churches in
the community.
