Problem solving: 2 pts. each.

1. Qotomisan gets on the elevator on the tenth floor. The elevator goes down two floors and
stops. It then continues to go down five more floors where Qotomisan got off. In what floor
did he get off the elevator?

2. Carlo saved 2,550.00 from his daily allowance. He spent 850.00 to buy a pair of jeans and
450.00 to buy a shirt. How much of his money was left?
3. Mr. Cruz went to market to buy some fruits and vegetables. He bought 5 apples at 30.00 each
and 3 cabbages at 10.00 each. He gave the vendor a 500-peso bill. How much change did he
get?

4. Multiply the sum of 5 and 11 by 8.

5. Divide the sum of 25 and 5 by 6 then subtract from the cube of 3.

6. Bryan had 45,500.00 in his bank account. Over the summer period, he made 3 withdrawals of
4,500.00 each and a deposit of 10,500.00. Write an order of operations to represent this
situation then solve it.

GOOD LUCK!!!
