I have taken an interview of Ms. Chinky Mittal. She is an JSJC
admission councellor. I was very excited to know the work of Ms.
Chinky and wants to gain knowledge about it so I have decided to
interview her. The question answer are as same as just I asked her
and she answered me, there is no autocorrection or rephrased.

Q1) Who inspire you to become admission counsellor?

A1) Who inspired me... actually nobody inspired me to become a counsellor, it

just happened. I started my career as an event manager, but I realised giving
guidance or solutions to people makes me happy so I choose to become a
counsellor as it makes me feel happy to guide the young minds the right and
best path to pursue according to their profile and interest.

Q2) Okay so when you followed your passionate what difficulties and
challenges you had faced before becoming an administrator?

A2) Difficulties and challenges I faced after becoming a counsellor

There is no difficulty I faced as a counsellor but the biggest challenge with

today's generation is that they are very skeptical minded, most of the young
minds don't have an idea about their interest , I would like to share one
incident one student came for an admission in journalism programme as he
wanted to work in Radio and after 2 weeks he asked to change his programme
as now he wants to work with United Nations by studying international
relations. So, it becomes very challenging to understand the mindset and
interest of current generation.
Q3) Okay, so what you suggest students how to get understand their mindset
and interest?

A3) By talking to them about themselves, to understand their interest I do

study their application minutely, communicate with them on different things,
speak with their parents. And after some experience that understanding
naturally comes.

Q4) Mam, Did you meet any students who ruin their life because of just they
wasn’t able to find their interest?
A4) No, as I always ask my students that Marks and degrees are just number
and matters for short time, what is more important is the knowledge and the
exposure you get will be for lifetime.

Q5) Great, highly positive views, mam please could you tell that in your view,
which course is worth in this university and why?
A5) Actually every course offers by jgu is unique and special in their own way,
so it will be difficult to choose the worth course or I should say good course. All
the programmes and courses offered by jgu are best in their own way. But
Journalism course is more near to my heart as I am with this course since it's
inception and the other reason why journalism course is close to my heart as I
studied journalism in my Under graduation

Q6) Wow great thought ok moving to last que, what do u think about jgu
students about their culture, manners and vibes?

A6) Jgu has it's own special different vibes, our students are simply the best,
sometimes they don't listen, sometimes they just don't bother at all but in the
end they are our students and we just love them.
