Alcohol and drug abuse are very
serious problems that bring about
significant impacts and challenges
to individuals and the community
at large. To alleviate these
problems, it is important to help
addicted individuals move away
from their addiction.

Description
Health promotion and health
education will be provided to make
individuals aware of the dangers of
addiction. In addition, efforts will
be made to eliminate the risk
factors that lead people into
alcohol and drug use.

reducing addiction rates within the

with relevant stakeholders within
the community. Local
collaborations will therefore be
actively sought

This will include supports for
screenings and assessments,
counselling, referrals to specialists,
provision of required medications,
finding suitable inpatient and
outpatient rehabilitation centers
and programs for those who are
addicted, and providing transitional
supports and counselling for re-
integration into the community.
