Lesson Plan in English 2 (9/ /19)

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, learners with 80% accuracy are expected
to:
C: Recognize same/different sounds (Homophones) Distinguish
rhyming words from non-rhyming words

A: discern the difference between a plural and possessive noun by


demonstrate how to write a single and plural possessive noun and
other proper uses on possessive nouns; and

P: Listen to a variety of media including books, audiotapes videos and


other age-appropriate publications and a. Note important details
pertaining to a. character b. settings c. events b. Give the correct
sequence of three events

II. Subject Matter


Topic: Possessive Nouns, Homophones, Inferring Feelings through
tone of voice
Reference: English 2 book
Materials: Realias, Pictures, Whyteboard and marker, Workbook
III. Lesson Proper
Activity
The class will give one thing that they possess, after, they will
guess who owns the item presented unto them.
After the students will answer the following questions:
Why do we need to know who is the owner?
What is possessive Noun?
How do we use or write possessive nouns?
1. Bag of Leon
2. Leaves of the tree
3. Shoe of dad
4. The rod of Moses
5. Crayons of the Children

After, the class will now answer pages 62-67 by discerning the
difference between a plural and possessive noun and demonstrate how
to write a single and plural possessive noun and other proper uses on
possessive nouns.

Analysis

The learners will read properly the sentence and how they should
be said. Then, the class will guess the tone of the voice by telling
how the person feels by the way he she says something.

1. What a beautiful day!


2. Are you sure it is safe to enter that room?
3. Get out of here!
4. Let’s do this!
5. Please don’t leave me.

Then , answer page 75-76

After the class will infer the tone of the voice, the learners will read
the story Why the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars are in the sky.

Listen/ read to a variety of media including books, audiotapes videos


and other age-appropriate publications and a. Note important details
pertaining to a. character b. settings c. events b. Give the correct
sequence of three events about the story.
Application

The learners will recognize same/different sounds (Homophones)


Distinguish rhyming words from non-rhyming words by circling the
correct word to complete the sentence. Page 74 (Homophones).
Assessment
The learners will give 5 examples of Homophones and use it in a
sentence.
IV. Evaluation
The learners will then answer pages 62- 67 After, the class will now
answer vocabulary test page 74 and comprehension page 75 by writing
the setting, characters, events.

Assignment
Study Subject, Object, and possessive pronouns. (79-81)
