Dear Bidder
It is with great pride that we deliver this auction catalogue to you.
A few years ago The High Street Auction Company, currently South Africa’s leading real estate
auction house, decided to turn their focus to select movable assets. In a short space of time we were
lucky enough to launch our Johannesburg and now Cape Town operations with a joint venture
agreement with Stef Olivier of Bidway Auction House. We are extremely excited to announce that
Stef and his entire team will be joining High Street permanently from 2020.
Our inaugural estate vintage and classic car auction has been in preparation for over 6 months and we
are extremely proud to share the block with Stef and his team. The Bester family have entrusted us to
dispose of over 6 decades of vintage vehicles, barn finds and automobilia under the instruction of their
executor.
In this short space of time we have been inundated by collectors to auction off further vintage vehicles.
We will announce the next exciting classic car auction in early 2020. These will also be held on an annual
basis due to the overwhelming response from our clients and will become the most anticipated auction
events of the year.
The auction on Saturday the 9th November will kick off at 10h30 with rare barn finds, engines and
hundreds of thousands of spares, parts and automobilia. This will all be sold without reserve. All vehicles
will be sold to the highest bidder under strict consent of the executor. Most of this collection of 400 lots
represent the biggest collection of parts and spares that has ever come onto the South African auction
market.
The auction event will be a day for the whole family as we will have food trucks, refreshments and a
vintage car display on behalf of the Bester family of a few of the cars they are keeping. There will also be
numerous car clubs and collectors present on the day for the festivities and fun. All vehicles will be
charged a R50 entry fee with the proceeds going to a local charity chosen by the family. Children under
18 will be free.
Please join us for this highly anticipated auction event when we auction off some amazing history from
the 1920’s to the 1970’s. The sheer size and scale of the collection is something that has to be seen to be
believed. It will be a very exciting day for the whole family.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Bester family for the trust they have placed in us as
well as their friendship and commitment to the process over the last 6 months.

1. DEPOSIT
Ÿ R20 000,00 (twenty thousand rand) refundable deposit

Ÿ Credit card or eft only
Ÿ No business/private cheques may be deposited into our bank account as a 7-10 day
waiting period will be enforced
Ÿ No cash will be accepted on site
Ÿ Cash payments are to be paid directly into Bidway’s bank account
Ÿ A 1% cash handling fee will be charged on all cash payment
Ÿ Buyers must present printed proof of payments made by eft & deposit
Ÿ Balance of payment is strictly by eft /no receipts will be issued unless the payment reflects in
Bidway’s FNB bank account
2. BUYER’S PREMIUM
Ÿ A buyer’s premium of 12.5% (excluding vat) will be levied on all items/vehicles purchased
Ÿ A documentation fee of R1500.00 (excluding vat) will be levied on each vehicle purchased
3. PAYMENT
Ÿ All purchases are to be paid in full by 15h00 on Monday 11 November 2019, strictly by EFT
only.

4. STANDARD CONDITIONS OF SALE
Ÿ Please refer to our standard conditions of sale at the back of the catalogue.
5. DISPATCHING
Buyers must supply their own transport and labour for collections
Ÿ There will be no lifting equipment onsite, please make your own arrangements
Ÿ Due to security constraints, there will be no despatching of goods during the auction.
NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE
Ÿ All purchases are to be removed at the buyer’s risk not later than:
Friday 15 November @ 16h00
Ÿ The removal of items is solely the responsibility of the purchaser. You and your Removal
Company are responsible for the condition of the site after and during the removal of your
assets. If any damages occur to the site during removal, the purchaser will be held responsible
and liable.

7. FICA REQUIREMENTS:
Ÿ All bidders must provide the following FICA documentation upon registration at the auction.
Ÿ Private / Personal Buyer: Original Identity Document or Passport.
Ÿ Original proof of address (an account not older than 3 months)
Ÿ Business Buyer: Vat Registration Certificate / CK Document (Cipro Certificate) / Original ID of
the owners of the business / Original proof of address.
8. VEHICLE REGISTRATION & PAPERWORK:
Ÿ Vehicles will only be released if the money reflects into our bank account.
Ÿ There can be a delay of 7 working days for registration papers of vehicles sold to be supplied.
Buyers will be notified of delays. Certain vehicles have no papers.
Ÿ Buyers need to provide a copy of their ID Document / Proof of address and a paid copy of the
invoice before vehicles will be released.
CONDITIONS FOR MOTOR VEHICLES:
Ÿ By signing the registration form and paying the related deposit, the Buyer confirms and
acknowledges that he viewed and inspected the motor vehicles concerned, and has confirmed all
of the particulars relating to the motor vehicle.

Ÿ The Auctioneers will provide ; The name and address of the Auctioneer ; a notice that there is no
liability or duty on the auction house or Seller to repair ; the motor vehicle’s year of manufacture
(where known), year of first registration(Where known), manufacturer, model designation (Where
Known), registration number, engine number, VIN number (Where Known), and the odometer
reading. Odometer readings are not guaranteed.
Ÿ Where motor vehicles or other items having legal documents that document a year model, the
description used by the Auctioneer will be the year model as per the legal documentation as
supplied by the NATIS system.
Ÿ The Auctioneer has no knowledge of year of manufacture or manufacturers year designation. In
the case of motor vehicles or other items requiring the completion and delivery of documents by
the Seller or any third party, Bidway or The High Street Auction Company shall not be obligated to
deliver such lots to the Buyer until the relevant documentation, duly completed and signed, has
been delivered to Bidway or The High Street Auction Company and cannot guarantee this period.
Ÿ The Buyer agrees to comply with any requirements to register and roadworthy the vehicle and to
undertake any repairs necessary to effect such requirements.
9. GENERAL:
Ÿ The purchaser shall be bound by all announcements made by the auctioneer at the
commencement of and during the sale, regardless if he is present at the time of such
announcements being made.
Ÿ All items are sold voetstoots. No warranties or guarantees are given or implied.
Ÿ Bidway or The High Street Auction Company cannot be held responsible for any errors of
description.
Ÿ Bidway or The High Street Auction Company cannot be responsible for incomplete or non-
working items.
Ÿ Bidway or The High Street Auction Company cannot guarantee or confirm any roadworthy of any
vehicles with papers. Vehicles and all other relating assets are sold as per condition on the floor. We
cannot confirm the condition of engines regarding starting / running / working condition due to
the age and condition of vehicles.
Ÿ The buyers are deemed to have made themselves acquainted with the lots for which they bid on
viewing day.
Ÿ Where more than one item is displayed, you will bid on one item and choose the quantity you
want; other buyers may then buy at the same price.
Ÿ The highest accepted bidder shall be the purchaser, if accepted by the auctioneer.
Ÿ The auctioneer has the right to regulate the bidding. The auctioneers decision is final.
Ÿ In case of an unsatisfied price, the auctioneer has the right to withdraw the article or refuse to sell it
to the highest bidder without giving any reason.
Ÿ We comply with section 45 (1-6) of the consumer protection act (no 68 of 2008) in terms of the s45
of the consumer protection act, Bidway and The High Street Auction Company is not liable to
discharge duty of repair.
Ÿ The rules of the auction are available without charge from 179 Albert road, Woodstock during
normal business hours.
Ÿ There will be no splitting of lots or transferring of lots between buyers. Only buyers who have
registered are allowed to bid, no sharing of cards is allowed at the auction.

Ÿ Bidway will make a copy of your card, front and back.

Ÿ We process the transaction as a Manual Pre-Authorised entry and put a HOLD on R20 000.00.
Therefore, NO PIN is required as the R20 000.00 does not get deposited into Bidway's
Account.
Ÿ The amount will sit in your uncleared/pending transactions.
Ÿ Once you have made your final invoice payment in FULL, Bidway will submit a cancellation
request to FNB Bank and the funds will be made available to you again within 4 working days.
Please make sure this facility is activated on your card by your bank institution.
Ÿ FNB – 2 Day release waiting period
Ÿ Nedbank, Std Bank, ABSA & Capitec – 4 Day release waiting period.
Ÿ All other accounts may take up to 14 working days.
Ÿ International Cards may take up to 30 days to be released.

RULES OF AUCTION & CONDITIONS OF SALE
Read the Rules of the Auction and Conditions of Sale that apply to the Auction on which
you wish to bid. Fully acquaint yourself with all terms and conditions.
Bidway shall have the right to control, regulate and control the auction. The auction will be recorded. The recording shall not be available to
the public or the Purchaser but Bidway shall make the recording available should it be required to do so by an order of court or by law. The
recordings shall be prima facie (rebuttable/ challengeable) proof of the auction proceedings. Each item is sold at the auction as a
lot/individual item. Bidway may, without penalty or prior notice and only if the seller/owner/lawful holder (“Seller”) of any individual lot or
items, or a group or parcel of assets (such group or parcel of assets hereafter called “lots”), inwriting permits Bidway to do so, will Bidway
be entitled to with draw any item or lots from the auction (such item or lots hereafter called the (“goods”). The goods may constitute a lot
or parcel of goods which are sold as a lot or parcel and purchased by the Purchaser, subject to these terms and conditions, as a lot or parcel.
In respect of any goods, the highest accepted bidder therefor shall be the purchaser of such goods (“Purchaser”).
In the event of a dispute as to the identity of the highest bidder, Bidway may re-auction the goods concerned. These terms and conditions or
any special conditions pertaining to each auction and/or to any goods shall be announced prior to the commencement of the auction. The
Purchaser shall be bound by all of the terms and conditions announced. On the fall of the hammer at the auction for the goods purchased
by the Purchaser, a sale for the goods shall be finally and irrevocably concluded, subject only to such suspensive conditions as may be
applicable to any goods. Risk in and to the goods shall pass to the Purchaser on the fall of the hammer. The Purchaser acknowledges that
he/she/it has inspected the goods, noted the condition and state thereof, and is satisfied with the goods. The goods are sold subject to the
condition report/inspection report furnished for the goods (for the auction) or in a document appended to or alongside the goods.
Bidway is only aware of the condition and state of the goods as they are, and as disclosed by Bidway. Bidway does not have any other
knowledge of the goods and the state and condition thereof. Accordingly, the goods are sold in the condition and state that they are in and
the Purchaser purchases the goods in accordance therewith. Bidway shall not be liable for any condition or state of any of the goods of
which Bidway is unaware or cannot reasonable have knowledge. Neither the Seller of the goods, nor Bidway, give any warranties or
guarantees or make any representations in regard to the condition or state of any of the goods, save for the representation that appears on
the condition report/inspection report for the goods concerned and, save for such condition report/inspection report, Bidway is not
responsible for any errors of description of any of the goods. All bids made at the auction are deemed to exclude VAT and buyer's premium.
The Purchaser shall not be entitled to take delivery of the goods until payment of the full purchase price has been made to Bidway and the
Purchaser is in possession of an invoice from Bidway stating that the Purchaser has paid the purchase price (such invoice hereafter called the
(“paid invoice”). In the case of motor vehicles or other items requiring the completion and delivery of documents by the Seller or any third
party, Bidway shall not be obliged to deliver such goods to the Purchaser until the relevant documentation, duly completed and signed, has
been delivered to Bidway. The Purchaser agrees that all fees, charges and the buyer's premium shall be paid to Bidway immediately after the
fall of the hammer even though the goods have not been or may not be delivered to the Purchaser.
Delivery of the goods shall be deemed to have been made to the Purchaser upon delivery to the Purchaser of the paid invoice, alternatively
upon delivery of an element of the goods or by which the goods can be identified (such as keys). The Purchaser agrees that as the goods will
not actually be physically delivered to the Purchaser's address or any address nominated by the Purchaser, the Purchaser shall be responsible
for all of the costs of delivery. The Purchaser shall remove the goods from Bidway premises within the period announced by the auctioneer
at the relevant auction. The Purchaser shall not be entitled to cancel the sale as a result of timeous non-delivery of the goods or on non-
signature of the required documents. Bidway shall be entitled, without penalty, to cancel the sale should the required documents of or
relating to the goods not be signed and delivered to Bidway within 21 days of the date of the auction; the Purchaser must look to the Seller
for any damages that the Purchaser may have suffered due to such non-delivery or non-signature. After the fall of the hammer, the
Purchaser shall bear the risk in and to the goods even if the goods continue to remain at Bidway's premises, in particular for any shortages or
damage which may occur, and the Purchaser shall be liable to pay storage fees to Bidway if the goods remain on Bidway's premises.
The storage fees will be available in written form, in the form of a notice affixed in a prominent place at the venue of the auction,
alternatively will be otherwise notified to the Purchaser. In the event the Purchaser failing to pay the full purchase price of the goods (“sale
price”) immediately on the day of the auction or on or before the applicable time (as per the relevant announcement by the auctioneer),
failing to remove the goods and/or otherwise failing to comply with any of these terms and conditions, then any amounts paid to Bidway by
the Purchaser (whether as fees, costs and/or buyer's premiums) shall be irrevocably forfeited to Bidway, and any deposit paid by the
Purchaser to Bidway for the goods shall be irrevocably forfeited to the Seller (such deposit to and shall be deemed to be genuine pre
estimated (and liquidated) damages that the Seller may suffer and the forfeiture of the deposit shall be payment or part payment of such
damages. The Seller shall be entitled to re-sell or reauction such goods without notice to the Purchaser.
Bidway shall have a lien over the goods for any amounts due and payable by the Purchaser to Bidway. Should Bidway re-sell/re-auction such
goods and should the net proceeds thereof (after deducting commission, fees, costs and buyer's premium payable to Bidway) be less than
the sale price, then the Purchaser shall immediately upon demand pay to Bidway as pre-estimated, liquidated, damages, such difference,
less any amounts forfeited. Bidway shall not be liable to the Purchaser for any losses or damages suffered by the Purchaser as a result of the
termination of the sale by the Seller or any failure to deliver the goods attributable to the Seller. Save for any announcement by the
auctioneer in respect of the goods prior to the bidding therefor, no variations or amendments hereto shall be of any force and effect unless

reduced to writing and signed by the Purchaser and Bidway. No indulgence which the Seller and/or Bidway may grant to the Purchaser shall
prejudice, or constitute a waiver of, the rights of the Seller and Bidway, who shall not thereby be precluded from exercising any rights
against the Purchaser which may have arisen in the past or may arise in the future. The Purchaser confirms and acknowledges that when
he/she/it viewed the motor vehicles concerned, all of the particulars of and relating to the motor vehicle (including the name and business
address of the auctioneer, a notice that there is no liability or duty on the auctioneer/auction house/bank/financial entity/Seller to repair, the
motor vehicle's year of manufacture, year of first registration, manufacturer, model designation, registration number, engine number, VIN
number, odometer reading and that the odometer reading is not guaranteed) were affixed to the motor vehicle in document form or
otherwise available in writing at or by the motor vehicle.
The Purchaser chooses as domicilium citandi et executandi (the address of delivery for all purposes arising from these terms and conditions),
the physical address of the Purchaser reflected above or on the reverse side hereof or reflected in any document signed or handed by the
Purchaser to Bidway or the Seller in connection with the goods and/or the auction concerned. The Purchaser consents to the jurisdiction of
the Magistrate's Court, but agrees that the Seller and/or Bidway shall be entitled to institute proceedings in the High Court. In the event
that any legal steps are taken against the Purchaser, the Purchaser agrees to pay all of the legal costs (on the attorney and own client scale)
of Bidway and/or the Seller and which is paid and/or may be payable to Bidway's/the Seller's attorneys (by agreement or otherwise),
alternatively, where there is no such agreement, on the attorney and own client scale as per the tariff of the relevant Court involved. The
Purchaser and surety (if applicable) hereby cede(s), assign(s), transfer(s) and make/makes over unto and in favour of Bidway the Purchaser's
and surety's rights, title and interest to all his/her/its immovable property registered in his/her/its name and any movable property owned by
him/her/it or to which him/her/it is entitled, such as is sufficient to satisfy his/her/its indebtedness to Bidway.
The Purchaser and surety (if applicable) agree(s) that all such immoveable and/or movable property shall be specially executable by, at the
instance of and in the favour of Bidway. Any term and condition above is severable from the remaining terms and conditions, which
remaining terms and conditions shall continue to apply and be effective. The Purchaser is the purchaser of the goods at the auction or who
has otherwise purchased the goods from Bidway. The buyer's premium, payable to Bidway means, in terms of the norms of the
international auctioneering industry a percentage of the purchase price of the goods, which percentage will be available in written form, in
the form of a notice affixed in a prominent place at the venue of the auction, alternatively will be otherwise notified to the Purchaser. The
buyer's premium shall be paid to Bidway on the date of the auction. The Purchaser and Surety confirm and agree that there is no duty to
repair the goods on the part of the auctioneer / auction house / seller.
The signatory to this agreement/these terms and conditions bind himself/herself/itself as surety and co-principal debtor together with the
Company, Close Corporation, Trust, Partnership, Association or any other person or entity reflected on the face of the Terms and
Conditions or set forth more fully above as the Seller. (The Principal Debtor) for the due fulfilment and payment by the Principal Debtor of all
the principal debtor's obligations and liabilities due and/or owed by the Principal Debtor to the Seller and/or Bidway arising out of the sale
of goods to the Principal Debtor at the Auction contemplated above or otherwise sold by Bidway on behalf of the Seller.
