Planetary qualities

Jupiter: Rules intelligence, discrimination, judgement.

He is the teacher of all the gods. Gods represents the qualities within us. Jupiter rules on intelligence and
also rules the good qualities within us. He is the ideal teacher.

Jupiter is satwik is nature. He is Brahmin. He is vamana avatara.

He is more humility in nature.

He is dwarf in nature. Dwarfism represents the humility.

He takes 12 years to go around the zodiac. 1 year in each sign.

Venus: He rules enjoyments. Those enjoyments are not harmful. As teacher of demons he controls the demonic

Nature within us.

He is Brahmin with Rajasika nature. Parasuram is formed with Venusian energy.

When venus associated with sun, venus loses all its energy. This is called combustion or Asta Gandha.

Venus is the most vulnerable planet to combust than any other. It loses all its energy and only sun
nature prevail.

Sun (Rama) and Jupiter (vamana) combination is good even sun is debilitated.
Rule of combustion: All planets when conjoined with the sun becomes combusted except Rahu and Ketu. They
will not have the combusted affect as they have no physical body. Instead when Rahu and Ketu join the sun, sun
is eclipses and sun becomes so weak.

Firstly, note the below points on seeing the chart.

1. The divisional chart to be chosen for the aspect of the life.


2. The house in the divisional chart.
3. The lord of the house ----- He is the boss of the house and aspects of the house. He sets the rules for that
house.
4. Planets occupies the house ---- They have the control of the house and exerts what must be done.
5. Planets aspecting the house ----- Those are the desiring candidates to influence the matters of the house
Temporarily during dasa/antardasa of the house.
6. Argala ---- These are the forced intervention into the houses. Virodha argala is obstruction to the argali

Basic nature of the planets:

Saturn: Hard working, tradition, does not like any changes.

Rahu: Deceit, cheating, sudden reversals, bhoga

Ketu or dooma ketu: burns everything

Mars: Aggressive, anger, can’t wait for anything

Sun: Royal, king

Moon: No enemies so he is sweet, comfort, satwik happiness


Mercury: Analytical ability, learning ability

Jupiter: knowledge, wisdom, Ideal Guru, vedic --- Aspect of Jupiter is very important

Venus: Enjoyments, excitments and pleasures ---- Rajasika guna

Lesson 6: Dasamamsa and other divisional charts

Tenth house in the Rasi chart shows the physical level work one does. It doesn’t shows the career one
persists.

Tenth house in the D10 shows the environmental things one does that means career.

6th house shows the career and 7th house shows the business.

6th lord in the 10th house shows the enemies and the hardship.

D1-12 divisional charts operate on the physical level, D13-24 operate on the conscious plane

D30 -37 operate on the sub-conscious level

Other charts operate on the supra conscious level.

Lesson 7: D24 indicates learning

4th house indicates mother, education, general happiness, real estate, heart etc…

4th house in D24 indicates general education, 4th house in D12 indicates about mother.

In general following way is to be considered when analyzing the chart

Choose the divisional chart which is to related to the relevant matter

Choose the particular house in the divisional chart

 Consider the position of the lord of the house he is the boss of the house
 Consider the planets occupied in the house those shows the matter to what extent can be

business.

 Ve is karaka for desire in any chart.
 Mercury indicates computer professionals, business man , Analytical ability mathematics
professions. He also indicates the journalism, speakers etc….
 Su indicates politics.
 Ma indicates soldier.
 Ke indicates some religious people

Lesson 8: Arudha padas

 Arudha pada gives the perceivable aspect or the tangible aspect of the given houses.
 The analogy is house is a object, house lord is like a mirror and the arudha lagna is like the
image of the object. Find the distance of the house lord from the house, count the exact
distance from the house lord, the obtained sign is the arudha lagna of the house.
 The arudha of the first house is the arudha lagna(AL).
 The AL shows how the man is perceived or how he will be aware to the others.
 A debilitated planet and retrograde is akin to exalted planet, a exalted planet and vakra is
equal to debilitated planet .
 3rd house shows communication skills, A3 shows the tangible aspect of the third house. The
tangible aspect of the third house is the books or the lectures which shows his
communication skills.
 Retrogradation is implied to a strong desire of past life. The desire is related to the house
owned by the retrograde planet. Apply this to raasi chart or the corresponding charts
 3rd house apart from the communication skills, it also indicates the initiative and bravery.
The tangible aspect of the 3rd house the weapons one hold which shows how brave he is.
 3rd and 6th house from the arudha lagna indicates courage to defeat the enemies(3rd) house
and 6th house shows defeating the enemies.
 Rules are different for 3rd house and 6th house from lagna(L) and arudha lagna (AL). From
lagna 6th house indicates overcoming the obstacles and AL shows defeating the enemies.

NOTE: AL shows the tangible aspects of self, Lagna shows the true self. The house with
reference to the AL shows the tangible aspects of the perceived self indicated various
aspects of that house.
Eg: 10th house from the AL shows the place or the environment one works( this is the
tangible aspect of the 10th house karmasthana)

A(n), the arudha of the particular house shows the tangible aspect of the particular house,
The remaining houses making reference of A(n), indicates the matters relating to the
A(n),perceived subjects.

What if the 3rd house and 6th house from AL has malefics and benefics

 3rd house and 6th house has malefics: This shows he/she is brave enough to pull the people
around her
 With bravery and has the capacity to defeat others

 Fells someone as enemy.

Lesson 9:

NOTE: Houses in the horoscope are the potential of a person. They are inanimate ( they have no sign of
life). Planets are animate they show the kinetic energy which shows the potential of a person which
reflects as the tangible thing and can be seen from the arudha.

Houses from the AL shows the perceived image in the people’s mind.

MahaDasa Level is ruled by sun. More stable things are established. As sun rules satya and self is more
established.

Antara dasa is ruled by Moon. Chandra Lagna is also important as it shows the mind.

Mo is the karaka for all Arudhas.

8th house stands for sudden changes, hard work and indicates occult studies.

Enemies are the tangible aspects and they are seen from A6. If any is in 12 th from A6 this indicates giving
up on enemies, so opposition.

9th house indicates Guru and dharma. Saturn gives very traditional knowledge.

Saturn is slow moving planet. It is also called Manda planet.

3,6 and 11 houses are very auspicious for the malefic planets Su, Ma, Sa, Ra and Ke.

Sa is the karaka for the masses, popularity and following etc…. He is karaka for the 12th.

If he occupies 3rd or aspecting it will not give much initiative but if he starts the work he will finish quickly.
 Ra shows engineering and research. Me shows the analytical ability, maths, Journalism, reporters,
speakers etc…
 Quadrants shows the Vishnu sthanas means effort. Trines shows the Lakshmi sthanas means
blessings.
 10th house shows the karma, 5th house shows the abilities.
 8th house shows troubles, tensions, sudden changes and even death. Rahu in the 8th house shows
some cheating. If Rahu is also involved it involves sudden shocks. Sa in 8th house shows some
sadness.
 Rahu is the planet of materialism and maya. Ketu is the planet which takes away from materialism
and gives away moksha
 6th house is enemies, troubles and war. 7th house is relationships.
 Rahu and ketu indicates the foreign affairs.
 If the ketu in the 7th house, he creates lot of confusion. Ketu is also called dhooma ketu, which he
burns whatever house he occupies, expect 3,6 and 11
 7th house shows the marriage and the dharma. Marriage is the dharma in our country. It is
represented by D9
 8th and 12th lords are two dusthans which give the vipareeta raja yoga
 7th lord shows the relationships and A7 shows the particular relationship
 Lagna lord is the most auspicious planet in any chart.
 For divorce look at the 8th house in the natal chart. For fights look at the 6th house in the D9 chart.
 7th from AL shows what other percept about your relation.
 A7 shows with whom you relate to
 Saturn is the planet of hardworking, pain and sufferings etcc…
 Upa pada lagna shows the actual marriage. 3rd ,7th and 11th houses are important. 3rd house shows
the initiative.
 First marriage is seen from the 7th house, second marriage is seen from the 8th of 7th house. Its
break is seen from the 2nd from there. Third marriage is seen from the 8th from there.
 2nd , 6th and 10th are artha trikonas they indicate the career not only the 10th house. If Saturn is
the lord of the 10th house he indicates the routine work,
Lesson 10:
 When looking in the AL don’t consider the lordship of the house only consider the occupants of
the house. Consider the lord ship when only seeing from the LA.
 If the planets in the marana karaka sthnas significance of the house owned by the planets is
destroyed.
 In the Navamsa chart see the 7th house for the marriage and the 7th lord for the spouse.
 4th house for the happiness in the marriage.
 To see the native spouse chart from your natal chart consider the 7th lord position as the
ascendant .
 Sun indicates the political power and a macro manager (managing big things). Ve apart from being
passionate he also indicates micro manager ( consider very minute details)
 Quality of the signs
