Use:
It is an adverb that people use in present perfect
refers to something that has happened before or sooner than expected
The correct translation is “ya” in Spanish
The structure is:
Personal pronounce + auxiliary (have/has) + already + verb in present
perfect + complement
Examples:
You have already finished your homework = tu ya has terninado tu tarea
Andrea has already danced salsa = Andrea ya ha bailado salsa
The dog has already eaten bread with milk = El perro ya ha comido pan con
leche
Example
I’m really hungry. I haven’t eaten yet. (Tengo mucha hambre. Todavía
no he comido.)
Jacob hasn’t left his job at the hospital yet. (Jacob todavía no se ha ido
de su trabajo en el hospital.)
Have they finished their homework yet? (¿Ya han terminado sus
deberes?)
