Introduction
Gender Equality is a state of equal ease of access to resources and
opportunities regardless of gender, it is achieve when men and women have equal
power in the society, including economic participation and decision-making and the
state of valuing different behaviors, aspirations and need equally, regardless of gender.
Ending all discrimination against women and girls is not only a basic human right,
it’s crucial for sustainable future; it’s proven that empowering women and girls helps
economic growth and development.
Moreover, Gender equality is also a precondition for advancing development and
reducing poverty. Empowered women contribute to the health and productivity of whole
families and communities, and they improve prospects for the next generations.
Body
September 9, 2019, we conducted the survey on Gender Equality in Dusita High
School, Dusita, Sierra Bullones, Bohol. We have used a questionnaire as a survey
instrument to collect data from the 15 respondents composed of 5 teachers and 10
students(5 males and 5 females). We used random sampling in selecting the
respondents.
Permission to administer the questionnaire was distributed to the respondents/
students of Dusita High School, Dusita, Sierra Bullones, Bohol. The respondents
answered the questionnaire and we personally retrieved the survey instrument.
Data Calculation
In Itnterpreting the data analysis, the formula was used:
𝐹𝑟𝑒𝑞𝑢𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑦
Percentage = 𝑇𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝑁𝑜.𝑂𝑓 𝑅𝑒𝑠𝑝𝑜𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠

10 Questions x 15 Respondents = 150 Responses

Results
YES = 128-------------------128/150 = 0.85.33 x 100 = 85.33%
NO = 17----------------------17/150 = 0.1133 x 100 = 11.33%
Conclusion
Approximately 128 out of 150 responses agreed that there is Gender Equality.
Therefore, most of the respondents admit gender equality. The common reason of the
respondents who agreed gender equality is that men and women have the rights in a
particular field if base on the mind or brain and the common reason of the respondents
who disagreed is that men and women are not equal if based on strengths.
The major fields that the respondents agreed that there is gender equality are the
fields in Politics, Business, Education, Human Rights, Entertainment, Decision Making
at Home and Relationship. The fields that they feel gender inequality are Sports, Job
Opportunities and Health Care.
Recommendation
Based on the conclusion in the survey, we would like to suggest a solution
regarding the issue of gender equality that in any fields men and women should treat
each other equally with no discrimination. Having gender equality can improve living.
