TECHNOLOGY
HAS CHANGED OUR LIVES
Technology has changed our lives by increasing the speed of time. We were human. We invented and developed
the technologies to change our life to its best. Now that technology is changing our lives every second.

DESEMPEÑO: Adapta el texto oral a la situación comunicativa manteniendo el registro y los modos culturales y considerando el tipo de
textos, el contexto y el propósito al hablar de Como la tecnología ha cambiado nuestras vidas en una mesa redonda.

You will talk about old and modern technology


Consider the following topics:
 Mobile phone  Organize and prepare your draft
 Comunication (letter- chat)  Use a vocabulary related to the topic
 Use adverb
 Photograph and videos
 Use linking words during your presentation (and,
 Television but, also, however, besides etc.)
 Advertisement  Use present perfect and past tense
 Shopping
 Give your opinion using the expression below:
I believe, In my point of view, As far as I am
 Games concerned, It seems to me. Etc.
 Robots Write the positive and negative of technology in each
 Artificial intelligence topic.
Compare the technology you have now with the way
 Technology in the air, water, food,
of living 50 years ago.
education, electricity, cars, parking,
shopping, Banks,ways of communication,
health,how to protect our house etc.

 Before and during your presentation…


 Work your draft in your notebook considering positive, negatives and opinions.
 Present the topic you will talk about (draft).
 The day of presentation use visual material: a title and a small poster or flash cards.
 Check time, each student will participate two minutes.
 Use index memory cards with some important information about your presentation but avoid
 reading in detail. Index cards will help you just in case you forgot something about your theme.

Evaluation Rubrics
STUDENT SCORE
Speaker maintains good eye contact with the audience, uses clear audible voice and 3
correct pronunciation.
Topic is studied before the presentation and observed with a checking list. (drafting) 5
Good language skills are used (grammar & vocabulary) 5
The speaker expresses ideas using linking words related to the topic. 2
Visual aids are well prepared and observed during the presentation using Tag names 1
– tittle card – index memory cards, small poster etc..
Length of presentation is within the assigned time limits. (2minutes) 2
Listen to each other ideas with respect, not laying on the desk, not talking, not 2
disturbing others, ask questions and give opinion
