usually celebrated on December, commemorating the
birth of Jesus Christ. Schools, banks, post-offices,
government offices and most malls and shops are closed
on Christmas day.

The night before Christmas is called Christmas eve.

Popular modern customs of the holiday include gift giving,
Christmas carols, an exchange of Christmas cards,
church celebrations, a special meal, and the display of various Christmas decorations,
including Christmas trees, Christmas lights, reindeers, mistletoes, holly and the color
white, red and green.

Goodwill, compassion and peace are the values promoted this time of the year, and it’s
a celebration that occurs around the world, including family reunions and love
expressions with all people”

“New year’s eve”

“New year is celebrated mostly on December, exactly on the

31st of December, giving the birth of a new year the 1 st of
January, congregating people around the world as they
expect the most amazing fireworks and lights from the sky.

New Year festivals are among the oldest and most

universally observed. Celebrations generally include rites
and ceremonies which are expressions of grateful and joy among people over the
renewal of life.

In some countries, parties are thrown on New Year’s Eve which last until the early
hours of New Year’s Day. It is traditional to greet the New Year at midnight and then
celebrate at least the first few minutes in the company of friends and family.

Many people make new year’s resolutions that are a list of decisions about how they
will live during the coming year, which may or may not be kept.”
