VC4 VDA connection cable

Installation manual

The connector assignment of the connection cable complies to the VDA standard. Additionally the
VDA connection cable is equipped with two optional contacts. The corresponding wires can be
found below the winding of the connection cable at the end of the VDA connector(St2).

If the radio system is provided with two mute inputs (telephone and navigation), one contact
serves the radio muting for the voice prompts of the navigation system. Dismantle the winding
of the cable and cut the brown wire loop. Connect the wire that leads to the basis station (St1)
to the Mute-Nav. input of your radio system. Insulate the other end of the cut brown wire.

The orange wire serves the connection of the steering wheel control (SWC). For different vehicles,
an additional box for connection of the steering wheel remote control to the VC4 basis station is
available as accessories.
