DRSHD 1080P SOFTWARE OVERVIEW
The DRSHD 1080p Software is designed to capture digital
files with ease. It can be operated using a mouse and
keyboard, touch screen monitor, surgical camera remote
controls, foot pedal, or integrated system controls. There
is also an option to use the MedXStream software on
a smart device in conjunction with the aforementioned
devices.
Work List Page – used to organize and display patient
information pertaining to a case that is created either on
the DRSHD 1080p or sent from a work list server. The
user has the option to create and save cases to the work
list in Local Work List configuration, create scheduled
cases in MWL and HL7 Configurations, or to select and
begin a case that was sent from a work list server. The
Local Work List may also be populated from a smart
device using the MedXStream software.
Record Page – used to capture digital HD and SD video
and images during a surgical case. The user has the
ability to select one of four video sources for capture,
optionally select a video source for PIP, and add verbal
and typed annotations to digital files captured. The
Record Page appears after a case is started from the
Work List Page.
Review Page – used to view, copy, delete, burn to disc,
and print digital files. The user can also append (add
digital files) to a case, alter patient information from
a previous case, and send previous cases to DICOM
Storage (when active). The cases on the Review Page
may also be viewed and managed from a smart device
using the MedXStream software.
Setup Page – used to configure software preferences,
set working configurations, select digital file types,
adjust camera settings, select printing options, configure
server communications, adjust per user settings, and
set software security options.

PERIPHERAL INPUT DEVICES
The DRSHD 1080p is equipped with several methods of
controlling the software with peripheral input devices.
Camera Remote Controls, mouse click, touch screen,
foot pedal, and serial command with integrated systems
can control the trigger of stills and videos. The DRSHD
1080p capture software provides an On Screen Keyboard
feature that can be used with a touch screen monitor
or disabled if a standard keyboard is preferred to enter
Patient Study Information and Annotations.
Camera Remote Control - camera control unit (CCU) that
have two 3.5mm stereo (2 conductor ring) connections
for remote control capture can be connected to the
DRSHD 1080p via the Camera Remote Control Capture
and Camera Remote Control Record connections using
two 3.5mm stereo (2 conductor ring) Camera Control
cables. This connection facilitates the DRSHD 1080p
capture software’s ability to respond to camera button
pushes with video and still image capture on command.
Touch Screen Monitor Control - the DRSHD 1080p is
easy to pair with a touch screen monitor connected via
USB. The DRSHD 1080p capture software features large
graphic controls that are easy to touch, an On Screen
Keyboard, and integrated touch screen calibration. The
DRSHD 1080p capture software can complete a surgical
case using a touch screen monitor without requiring any
additional peripheral devices.
Foot Pedal - the DRSHD 1080p capture software will
respond to a foot pedal command to star t and stop
recordings and to capture still images. The foot pedal
connection is the 9 pin serial port on the back of the
DRSHD 1080p labeled COM 4.
Keyboard and Mouse - a USB keyboard and mouse can
be used to enter Patient Study Information and trigger
digital file capture alone or in combination with other
control methods.

AUTOMATIC FUNCTIONS
The DRSHD 1080p capture software can be configured
to perform automatic functions that allow the user to
minimize repetitive workflow tasks and complete surgical
cases with more efficient usage of time.
AUTO DELETE OLD CASES
The DRSHD 1080p capture software can be configured to
automatically delete previously captured cases that have
reached a predetermined age to save storage space and
to automate machine storage maintenance. Auto Delete
Cases can be enabled on the Setup Page > General Tab
> System Sub Tab (Figure 1, System Sub Tab).

ARCHIVING
The DRSHD 1080p Archive feature creates and sends
a duplicate copy of a surgical case to a sele cted
secondary storage location as digital files are created.
The secondary storage location can be a network folder,
a smart device connected via USB, or a USB hard drive.
The Archiving feature overrides the Auto Archive To USB
feature, when the checkbox labeled Archiving is active;
the Auto Archive To USB feature is turned off. Archiving
can be enabled on the Setup Page > Media Tab (Figure
2-1) or set per user on the Setup Page > Physicians Tab
> Media Sub Tab (Figure 2-2, Media Sub Tab).

AUTO ARCHIVE TO USB
T he DRS HD 10 8 0 p c apture sof t ware provides an
automatic archive feature that creates and sends a
duplicate copy of a surgical case to a connected USB
hard drive or smart device connected via USB without
user inter vention and as soon as the USB device is
available. This feature is activated by default. The Auto
Archive to USB feature will send a copy of each surgical
case to the largest connected external hard drive or
smart device depending on the Auto Archive Priority
setting. Auto Archiving can be enabled on the Setup
Page > Media Tab (Figure 3-1) or set per user on the
Setup Page > Physicians Tab > Media Sub Tab (Figure
3-2, Media Sub Tab). To Archive surgical cases to a user
specified location, see Archiving (Archiving).

AUTO SEGMENTING OF VIDEO FILES
The DRSHD 1080p capture software automatically divides
captured video files into segments of a predetermined
maximum time length. This feature controls the size
of the captured videos and prevents incompatibility
problems when copying the video segment files to a
CD/DVD or a USB flash drive. The default maximum
segment time is 5 minutes. The maximum Segment
Length can be adjusted or disabled on the Setup Page
> Media Tab (Figure 4-1) or set per user on the Setup
Page > Physicians Tab > Media Sub Tab (Figure 4-2,
Media Sub Tab).

AUTO PRINTING AUTO DICOM STORE

T he DRS HD 10 8 0 p c apture sof t ware provides an
automatic printing feature that sends print jobs to a
preset printer without user intervention and as soon as
a print job is available. This feature expedites printing
tasks to make prints available as soon as possible after
digital files are captured and will begin the printing
process while a case is in progress. Auto Print can be
enabled on the Setup Page > Printing Tab (Figure 5-1)
or set per user on the Setup Page > Physicians Tab >
Printing Sub Tab (Figure 5-2, Printing Sub Tab).

The DRSHD 1080p capture software can automatically
send surgical cases to a preset DICOM Storage Server
when the user clicks the Close Case Button on the
Record Page. Auto Store can be enabled on the Setup
Page > DICOM Storage Tab (Figure 6, DICOM Storage
Tab).

maintained on the DRSHD 1080p locally. Patient Study
Information is not required to create and start a case
or to schedule a future case.

DICOM Modality Work List (MWL) – the Work List Server

delivers cases to the DRSHD 1080p. The DRSHD 1080p FIGURE 7-2
works as a client to the work list server. Scheduled cases
can also be created and completed locally. Patient Study
Information is not required to create and start a case or
to schedule a future case.

HL7 – the Work List Server delivers cases to the DRSHD

1080p. Unscheduled cases can also be created and
completed locally. Patient Study Information is not
required to create and star t a case or to schedule a
future case.

DICOM Storage – DICOM Storage is used to send digital

files to DICOM Storage. It can be used in conjunction
with the above three Work List configurations. When
active, a case created MUST have specific Patient Study
Fields populated before the user is permitted to begin
a case. The required fields (highlighted red) are Last
Name, Patient ID, Sex, Birth Date, and Modality. With
information entered into these Patient Study Fields, the
Start Case Button will become available.

CREATING A CASE
The DRSHD 1080p user may create a case on the Work FIGURE 8-1
List Page at any time. A scheduled or unscheduled case
may be created and started in any of the three Work List
configurations.

To create a case:
1. Click the New Button on the lower left side of the
page (Figure 8-1).
2. Enter patient information into the appropriate Patient
Information Fields. Pressing the Enter key on the
keyboard moves the curser down to the next Patient
Information Field (Figure 8-2).
3. After entering all desired Patient Study Information,
click the Start Case Button on the lower left side
of the page to begin the case or optionally the user
may click the Save Button to add the case to the FIGURE 8-2
work list for future use when using Local Work List
configuration (Figure 8-2).
4. The Record page will display and the DRSHD 1080p
will be ready to capture videos and images for the
case created (Figure 8-3).

When in Local Work List configuration the user may

optionally click the Save Button to add the case to the
Work List for future use. There is no limit to how many
cases can be created and saved to the Local Work
List; this allows cases to be created and scheduled in
advance.

The DRSHD 1080p pre-populates the Study Date field FIGURE 8-3
with the current Study Date and Time each time a new
patient entry is started. The Study Date can be edited
and changed to a future date if desired. If the Study Date
and Time does not match the System Date and Time,
verify that the DRSHD 1080p’s Date and Time is correctly
setup. This can be adjusted on the Setup Page > General
> Regional > Date/Time Text Box (Regional Sub Tab).

STARTING A CASE FROM THE WORK LIST PAGE
Selecting and starting a case from the DRSHD 1080p
Work List Page is the same process in each of the Work
List configurations (Figure 9-1).
1. Browse or search the cases listed in the middle of
the Work List Page and click on the desired case to
select. The case will highlight to show that it has
been selected.
2. The Patient Study Information section will populate
with the information from the selected case.
3. Click the Start Case Button to begin the case.
When a case is selected and star ted, the case will
be removed from the DRSHD 1080p Work List Page.
After a case has been started and/or completed, it will
appear on the Review Page. From the DRSHD 1080p
Review Page, the user has the ability to review, copy, and
print digital files. If the user wishes to alter the Patient
Study Information or add digital files to a case that was
previously created with the DRSHD 1080p software, the
Review Page offers this function (Review Page Controls).

DELETING A CASE FROM THE WORK LIST PAGE
IN LOCAL WORK LIST CONFIGURATION
When in Local Work List configuration, the user has the
ability to delete cases from the work list. Deleting a case
from the DRSHD 1080p Work List Page is only possible
in Local Work List configuration (Figure 10).
1. Browse the cases listed in the middle of the Work
List Page and click on the desired case to select. The
case will highlight to show that it has been selected.
2. The Patient Study Information section will populate
with the information from the selected case.
3. Click the Delete From Work List Button to delete the
selected case from the local work list.

FILTER WORK LIST

The DRSHD 1080p Work List Page provides the user the FIGURE 11-1
ability to sort the cases in the work list by any default
Patient Study Information Field, by date range, and by
cases scheduled for the present date (default). Click the
Today’s Work List Button at any time to revert back to
viewing only the cases scheduled for the present date
(default).

To filter the work list by a keyword in the Patient Study

Information, add text to the Filter Box above each of the
fields and click the magnifying glass icon on the right to
search. Sex and Performing Physician use a drop down
selection to filter the list. Study Date can be filtered by
cases scheduled for Today, This Week, or This Month.
Click on the X that appears to the right of the Filter Box
to remove the specific filter, or optionally click the Clear FIGURE 11-2
Filters Button at the top of the Work List Page to remove
all sorting filters (Figure 11-1).

Click the Patient Study Field at the top of the work list to
alphabetize the list by that field. Click the Patient Study
Field at the top of the work list a second time to reverse
alphabetize the list by that field. Click the Patient Study
Field at the top of the work list a third time to remove
the filter. The “alphabetize by field” sorting will remain
constant until the Patient Study Field is clicked three
times to remove the filter (Figure 11-2).

Note: In DICOM Modality Work List (MWL) Configuration,

the incoming work list from the work list server is filtered FIGURE 11-3
by the AE Title assigned to the DRSHD 1080p by default.
This prevents any cases that are not explicitly assigned
to the AE Title of the DRSHD 1080p from displaying on
the DRSHD 1080p Work List Page. This filter can be
removed on the DRSHD 1080p Setup Page if desired
(Figure 11-3).

Clear Filters Button – removes all filters that have been
applied to the work list on the DRSHD 1080p Work List
Page.
Today’s Work List Button – displays only cases on the
Work List that are scheduled by the Study Date for the
present day.
Delete From Work List Button – delete the case that is
presently selected in the work list (only visible in Local
Work List configuration).
Scroll Bars – move the orientation of the Patient Study
Information Fields to enable the user to view all of the
cases and data in the work list and in the Patient Study
Information sections of the DRSHD 1080p Work List
Page.
Scroll Bar Arrow Buttons – move the Scroll Bars in
small increments.
On Screen Keyboard (OSK ) – enters Patient Study
Information.

Refresh Button – requests the present work list from
the work list server.
Start Case Button – begins the case that is presently
entered into the Patient Study Information or selected
in the work list.
Save Button - saves the case that is presently entered
into the Patient Study Information to the Local Work List
(only visible in Local Work List configuration).
Patient S tudy Information Tex t Boxes – create a
collection of patient demographics that are associated
with a case to be created.
A rc hiving Indicator - displays the present status
of digital files to be automatically copied to external
storage.
Auto Printing Indicator – displays the present status
of automatic print jobs.

New Button – clears all information entered into the On Screen Keyboard Button - displays the on screen
Patient Study Information, restores all preset default keyboard when clicked. Click the “enter” button on the
values to the Patient Study Information. to close the On Screen Keyboard.

Work List Server Indicator – informs the user of the

present connection status of the selected work list
server. Green indicates a connection. Red and flashing
indicates no connection.

Storage Server Indicator – informs the user of the

present connection status of the selected DICOM storage
server. Green indicates a connection. Red and flashing
indicates no connection.

Filter Box – enter text and numbers to filter the work

list by a keyword.

Activate Filter Button – (magnifying glass shaped icon)

sorts the work list by the filter text entered.

Deactivate Filter Button – (x shaped icon)removes the

filter from the work list sorting.

RECORD PAGE
The DRSHD 1080p Record Page appears after a case FIGURE 12-1

is the starting point to which a user will capture videos
and images for the surgical case in progress. The
Record page allows users to record videos and capture
still images from live video, delete captured images,
and optionally alter Patient Study Information for the
case in progress when in Local Work List and HL7
Configurations. The user has the ability to select one
of four video sources for capture, select a video source
for PIP, add verbal and typed annotations to digital files
captured, view live video in full screen mode, and to
signal the finish of a case to initiate automatic printing,
automatic storage to a DICOM storage server.

VIDEO INPUT SOURCE SELECTION
The DRSHD 1080p capture sof tware provides four
choices of video input source for capture; one HD source
(HD DVI) and three SD sources (S-Video, Comp 1, and
Comp 2). The default primary video source for capture
is the HD DVI Input (Figure 12-1). The default secondary
video source for capture is S-Video (Figure 12-2). The
default SD video source changes based upon the last
SD video input source selection that was made by the
user. To change the default SD video source, click on
any SD Video Input Source Button. The title of the SD
video source will change to the new default selection
on the Status Tab and the new default SD video source
is saved. The stream from the primary video source
displays in the window on the center left of the page. The FIGURE 12-3
stream from the secondary video source can optionally
be displayed as a picture in picture (PIP) window in the
upper left corner of the Primary Video Source Window
if the PIP feature is enabled (Figure 12-3) and the PIP
button for the secondary video source is selected. Still
Images will only be captured from the Primary Video
Source Window.

NO VIDEO INPUT
The primary video source and PIP windows will display
an image of color bars and a “No Video Input” warning
message when the DRSHD 1080p does not detect an
incoming video stream on a selected HD or SD video
input (Figure 13). When this warning is displayed the
DRSHD 1080p capture software will not allow the user
to begin video or still image capture; check the camera,
signal cabling, and video input connection for trouble
or switch to a video input source that has an incoming
video stream from a connected camera.

MEDIA OPTIONS
By default the DRSHD 1080p capture sof tware will
limit captured video segments to 5 minutes maximum
Segment Length and will capture images in the JPEG
Image File Type. The user may change the maximum
Segment Length and Image File Type on the Setup Page
> Media Tab (Figure 14, Media Tab). The Image File Type
can be BMP, JPEG, or PNG. Image File Types can be BMP,
JPEG, or PNG. Video Segments can be from 15 seconds
to 10 minutes and 45 seconds; Video Segments can also
be limited to the maximum 2 hour segment length. For
synchronized starts and stops of Dual Recording, check
the Dual Recording checkbox.

STANDARD AND DUAL RECORDING
The DRSHD 1080p capture software is able to capture
video from one or two video sources simultaneously, the
primary video source and the secondary video source.
The primary video source defaults to the HD DVI input
when a case is begun. The default selection for the
primary video source is adjustable via the Setup Page
> General Tab > Camera Sub Tab (Figure 15-1, Camera
Sub Tab). The secondary video source defaults to the
last SD source that was selected using the Video Input
Source Buttons (Figure 15-2).

SPEECH TO TEXT ANNOTATIONS
The DRSHD 1080p Record Page has a speech to text
annotation feature that will take a verbal annotation from
a connected microphone, convert it to editable text, and
then attach it to the last still image captured. The list
of possible annotations is maintained per user on the
Setup Page > Physicians Tab (Figure 16-1, Physicians
Tab). The DRSHD 1080p will listen for approximately 5
seconds after a still image is captured for the user to
speak into the microphone. When the user verbalizes
a preset annotation into the microphone, the DRSHD
1080p capture software will select the proper annotation
and save it to the captured image (Figure 16-2). Erasing
Dr. Sample will remove all default annotations from the
DRSHD 1080p.

RECORD PAGE CONTROLS
Status Tab - displays the video segment time of the
HD and SD video capture sources while video capture
is in progress, the storage space that has been filled,
and the total number of video segments that have been
captured in the present surgical case.
Archiving Tab - displays status of digital files to be
sent to the Archiving Location set on the Setup Page
> Media Tab (Media Options). A green dot next to a
digital file indicates the digital file has successfully been
delivered to the designated Archive Location. A yellow
dot indicates the digital file is waiting to be delivered to
the designated Archive Location. A red dot indicates the
digital file has failed to be delivered to the designated
Archive Location. Clicking the X to the right side of a
digital file that has been copied to the Archive Location
will remove item from the Archive Status List, but will
not delete the digital file from the designated Archive
Location. Clicking the X to the right side of a digital file
that has not been copied to the Archive Location will
cancel the Archive job for that item and the digital file
will not be copied to the Archive Location. Digital files
will remain in the DRSHD 1080p main storage location
without regard to Archiving activities. If a digital file
fails to copy to the designated Archive Location, the
DRSHD 1080p capture software will attempt to copy
the digital file until the Archive job is completed, until
the user clicks the X to the right side of a digital file to
cancel the Archive job, or until a new case is started.
Information Tab - displays the Patient Study Information
for the case in progress. When the DRSHD 1080p capture
software is in Local Work List or HL7 configuration, the
Edit Button will be available. Click the Edit Button to alter
the Patient Study Information for the case in progress.
Levels Tab - features sliders that adjust the Brightness,
Contrast, Hue, and Saturation of the SD video stream.
The adjustments will show in the video files that are
captured. The Levels Tab is only visible when a SD video
source is selected as the primary input. There are no
level adjustments for the HD video stream.
RECORD (CONTINUED)
Annotation Button - used to type an annotation to the
last still image captured at any time. When clicked, the
On Screen Keyboard will appear, allowing the user to
enter an annotation for the image. The user may also
click on the microphone icon and verbalize a preset
annotation into the microphone, the DRSHD 1080p
capture software will select the proper annotation and
save it to the captured image. When video capture is
not in progress, the DRSHD 1080p Review Page can be
accessed to add annotations to any of the images that
have been captured in the present surgical case.
Delete Button - delete the captured image shown on
the upper right of the DRSHD 1080p Record Page. When
clicked, a warning pop up window will appear asking
for confirmation that the user wishes to delete the
image. When the warning pop up window is present,
the software graphic controls will not respond until the
user clicks the OK or the Cancel Button on the pop up
window, however the DRSHD 1080p capture software
will continue to capture video and images in response
to Camera Remote Controls and foot pedal commands.
Close Case Button - used to signal the completion of
a surgical case and initiates all automated background
functions like automatic printing (Auto Printing),
automatic send to DICOM (Auto DICOM Store), and
automatic copy to Archive Location (Archiving).
Mute Button - disable microphone input.
Capture Button - capture a still image from the primary
video source.
Record Button - capture video from the selected primary
video source or the primary and secondary video sources
when Dual Recording is active (S tandard and Dual
Recording).
Pause - stop capture of video and complete a video
segment file.
Video Input Source and PIP Buttons - select the primary
and secondary video source to be captured.

CAPTURING VIDEO
The DRSHD 1080p Record Page captures HD or SD video
from the selected primary video input and optionally from

CAPTURING STILL IMAGES
The DRSHD 1080p Record Page captures HD or SD
still images from the selected primar y video input.
Images are captured in JPEG format by default, and
can optionally be changed to capture BMP or PNG image
files (Media Options). The DRSHD 1080p Record Page
will display an image of color bars and a “No Video
Input” warning message if an incoming video stream
on a selected HD or SD video input is not detected on
the Primary Video Source Window or the PIP Window
(No Video Input). Still image capture can be initiated
using peripheral input devices or using the software
graphic controls displayed on the DRSHD 1080p Record
Page. Still image capture only occurs on the video input
source that is selected as primary and is displayed on
the Primary Video Source Window.
To capture a video or a still image:
1. Start a case to navigate to the DRSHD 1080p Record
Page (Figure 18-1).
2. Select the desired Video Input Source Button to
focus control on this input (Figure 18-1).
3. Observe the incoming video stream displayed in the
Primary Video Source Window (Figure 18-1).
4. Begin video capture when desired via peripheral
input device or the Record Button (Figure 18-1).
5. Stop video capture via peripheral input device or
the Pause Button (Figure 18-1).
6. The user may capture a still image at any time via
peripheral input device or the Capture Button (Figure
18-1).
7. Optionally the user may speak into a connected
microphone immediately following the capture of
a still image to annotate (Figure 18-2).

REVIEW PAGE FILTER BY PATIENT STUDY FIELD CRITERIA

The DRSHD 1080p Review Page is the digital file control
center of the capture software. The user is able to use the
Review Page to review and expedite digital file workflow
for cases that have been captured on the Record Page.
Surgical case digital files can be viewed, annotated,
deleted, copied to a portable drive or network folders,
burned to optical disc, printed, and sent to a DICOM
Storage server while a surgical case is in progress or
after a surgical case is completed.
When in List View, DRSHD 1080p Review Page can be
filtered by any of the pertinent patient fields by typing a
value into the search box above the field or clicking on
a Patient Study Field at the top of the list. These filters
operate in the same manner as the filters on the Work
List Page (Filter Work List) and persist over reboots of
the system (Figure 19).

The DRSHD 1080p Review Page has two default views

that will display based upon the presence of a surgical
case in progress or no surgical case in progress. When
a case is open and in progress on the Record Page, the
Review Page default to Case View and will only show
digital files for the case in progress. When a case is not
in progress, the Review Page will default to List View and
display all of the surgical cases stored on the DRSHD
1080p that are ready for review.

REVIEW PAGE VIEWS

List View - displays all of the surgical cases stored on
the DRSHD 1080p that are ready for review. To select
a case click the Checkbox to the left side of the page
next to the desired case.

Case View - displays a list of Thumbnails for each still

image and video captured. To select an image or video
click in the middle of the Thumbnail and a check icon
will appear over the Thumbnail.

Playback View - displays a large screen view of the

digital file selected. Videos will play back when selected.
To select an image or vide o click the Media Item
Checkbox on the upper right of the page and a check
will appear in the box.

List View Controls:
Clear Filters Button – removes all filters that have been
applied to the case list on the DRSHD 1080p Review
Page.
Filter Box – enter text and numbers to filter the work
list by a keyword.
Activate Filter Button – (magnifying glass shaped icon)
sorts the case list by the filter text entered.
Deactivate Filter Button – (x shaped icon) removes the
filter from the case list sorting.
Scroll Bars – move the orientation of the Patient Study
Information Fields to enable the user to view all of the
cases and data in the case list.
Scroll Bar Arrow Buttons – move the Scroll Bars in
small increments.
Top Checkbox - selects and deselects all cases.
Checkbox - selects and deselects the individual case
or multiple cases to copy, burn, or delete.
View Button - changes the page to Case View and for
the corresponding surgical case.
Edit Button - opens pop-up window that allows the user
to edit Patient Study Information of the corresponding
surgical case.
Append Button - gives user the option to reopen the
corresponding surgical case to add additional digital
files. When clicked, a warning dialog pop-up window will
appear to confirm that the user wishes to navigate to
the Record Page with the corresponding surgical case
loaded to append digital files to the case.
Copy Button - navigates to the Copy Page to duplicate
case digital files to a portable drive or network folders.
Burn Button - navigates to the Burn Page to duplicate
case digital files to optical disc.

Delete Item Button - (trash pail icon) erases an individual
digital file. A warning dialog pop-up window will appear to
confirm that the user wishes to delete the specified item.
DICOM Button - sends a selected case the preset DICOM
Storage server when clicked. This button is only visible
when DICOM storage is enabled.
Case View Controls:
Back Button – navigates to List View. This button is not
available when a surgical case is in progress.
Images/Videos Buttons - show only the Thumbnails
for the images or videos for the selected surgical case.
Thumbnails - small images that represent videos and
still captures for the selected surgical case. Click in the
center of the Thumbnail to select the digital file for print,
copy, burn, or delete.
Annotate Button - allows a user to add an annotation
to the digital file.
Playback View Button - navigates to Playback View
and displays the digital file. Videos will begin playback
immediately.

PRINT PAGE
The DRSHD 1080p Print Page is accessed from the
Review Page and offers full featured printing options.
The user can send the print job to a list of printers or
create a PDF file to print later, select a page layout,
crop HD images to a 4:3 ratio to save black ink with
endoscopic images, add a personalized heading and logo
to the top of the printed page, make adjustments to the
images prior to printing. The user can also include dates,
annotations, and a number of Patient Study Fields to the
printed page. The printing options can be preset to the
desired default settings on the Setup Page > Printing
Tab (Figure 20), set per Physician on the Setup Page >
Physicians Tab (Auto Printing) or adjusted for each print
job individually on the Print Page. Any adjustments made
to the print layout on the Print Page will not be saved
after the page is closed, it is recommended that the
user set the preferred default print settings on the Setup
Page > Printing Tab (Printing Tab) during the DRSHD
1080p initial setup.

Mute Button 'Speaker Icon' - activates and deactivates
audio playback of the video displayed.

Volume Slider - adjusts volume of the audio playback

.50x Button - slows video playback to 50% of full speed.

PRINT PAGE CONTROLS

Print Preview Navigation Buttons - used to display each
page of a multiple page print job.
Print Preview Window - displays the print job with all of
the set options as it will look when printed.
Selected Printer - used to select an installed printer to
send the present print job.
Enhancements Checkboxes - when activated the
Enhancement Sliders will become available and a print
job will include preset image color, brightness, contrast,
and sharpen adjustments.
Enhancement Sliders - used to adjust the selected
Enhancement. The result of the adjustment will be seen
in the Print Preview Window as it is made.

Page Layout Dropdown - used to select 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, or Copies - adjusts the number of copies for the present
15 images per page. print job.

4:3 Crop Checkbox - activate this checkbox to crop a
16:9 image to a 4:3 image. This is useful with scope
images.
Include Annotations Checkbox - when activated the
print job will include annotations under the images.
Header Text Box - add text here to add a header or a
title for all of the pages in the present print job.
Print Button - sends the print job to the specified printer
with all of the preset printing options.
Save as PDF Button - saves the print job to a PDF file
all of the preset printing options.
Exit Button - closes the Print Page without sending the
present print job.

Logo Checkbox - when activated the print job will include

a preselected logo at the top of the pages

Logo Dropdown - used to select a custom logo JPEG

file. This file will be saved into the software and able to
be reused at any time.

Footer Fields Dropdown - used to select Patient Study

Fields to be added to the present print job.

Footer 1-6 - used to set the specified Patient Study Field

to respective position of the numbered footer.

Include Image Date Checkbox - when activated the

print job will include the date of image capture under
the images.

COPY PAGE
The Copy Page displays the size of the digital files to be
copied, and the percentage of completion of the present
copy job. To copy a case to an external device or network
folder, select the desired digital files then click the Copy
Button on the Review Page to display the Copy Page.
The user can optionally copy the case into a password
protected zip folder (Figure 21). If a copy job that is
too large for the selected Copy Location is created and
begun, the software will copy all of the digital files that
can be sent, then prompt the user with a warning that
there was not enough space on the disk.

COPY PAGE CONTROLS
Include Patient Data Checkbox - when activated the

Secure Zip Checkbox - when activated the software will
copy the case to the specified location in a ZIP file that

copy job has completed.

LOCATION PAGE
The DRSHD 1080p Location Page is accessed from the
Copy Page when the Copy Location Button is clicked
and is used to select a location to copy surgical cases
(Figure 22).

LOCATION PAGE CONTROLS
Removable Drives Dropdown - an arrow will appear
to the left of the dropdown when a removable drive
is connected and available. When an arrow is present
click the dropdown to display the available devices and
locations.
MedXStream (iOS) Dropdown - an arrow will appear to
the left of the dropdown when an iOS device is connected
via USB cable and available. When an arrow is present
click the dropdown to display the available devices.
Remote Dropdown - an arrow will appear to the left of
the dropdown when a network location is connected and
available. When an arrow is present click the dropdown to
display the available locations. To connect to a network
folder click the Connect to UNC Button.
Connect to UNC Button - when clicked the user will be
able to enter a network path, username and password
to access a shared folder or network location. Leave the
username and password blank if they are not required.
After a UNC path is entered, it must be selected on the
Remote Dropdown to be the chosen Copy Path. For more
help with UNC locations contact the facility network
administrator.

BURN PAGE
The DRSHD 1080p Burn Page is accessed from the
Review Page and is used to burn a surgical case or
multiple cases to optical disc. The Burn Page displays
the number of discs needed for a burn job, the count of
how many discs have been burned in the present job, the
disc type that is in use, the capacity of the disc type, the
size of the digital files to be burned, the speed at which
the optical digital files are burned, and the percentage
of completion of the present burn job. To burn a case
to optical disc, select the desired digital files then click
the Burn Button on the Review Page to display the Burn
Page (Figure 23).

BURN PAGE CONTROLS
Include Patient Data Checkbox - when activated the
Patient Study Information will be included in a text file
for each case that is burned to optical disc.
Burn Button - begins burning the optical digital files. If
more than one optical disc is required to complete the
burn job, the burn page will display the number of discs
required and the user will be prompted to insert another
disc as the burn job finishes with the disc in the tray.
Erase Button - erases rewritable disc digital files.
Eject Button - opens the tray of the optical drive.
Abort - cancels a burn job and makes the Exit Button
available. If the Abort button is clicked during a disc
burn; the disc will become unusable. Discard or erase
any optical digital files that has been aborted during a
burning process.
Exit Button - closes the Burn Page.

SETUP PAGE
The DRSHD 10 8 0 p S etup Page allows the user to
conf igure sof t ware preferences, sele ct Work List
configurations, select digital file types, set default
printing options, configure work list and DICOM server
communications, adjust per user settings, and set
software security options. The Setup Page is divided
into Tabs on the left side of the page and Sub Tabs near
the top of the page. Each Tab and Sub Tab contains a
number of controls that relate to its title. The Tabs and
Sub Tabs on the Setup Page are arranged in a logical
order to assist the user in finding the correct setting
quickly.
GENERAL TAB
The General Tab contains Sub Tabs for System, Camera,
Network, and Regional settings. It also contains a Sub
Tab that displays the DRSHD 1080p User Manual. The
General Tab is displayed by default when the user
navigates to the Setup Page. Time, date, time zone,
network, and language settings are just some of the
settings that can be found in the General Tab and its
Sub Tabs (Figure 24).

SETUP
SYSTEM SUB TAB
The System Sub Tab contains controls and information
that relate to system maintenance and global system
controls. The System Sub Tab is displayed by default
when the user navigates to the Setup Page (Figure 25).
Version Numbers - displays the sof tware GUI and
Firmware version numbers.
Calibrate Touch Screen Button - launches the ELO touch
screen monitor calibration utility.
Reset System Settings Button - resets all global settings
to factory default. This button does not erase work list
entries, cases, Physician settings, or Security settings.
Software Update Button - used in conjunction with a
USB flash drive to update the DRSHD 1080p software.
Wireless Configuration But ton - used to create a
dedicated wireless network for use with the MedXStream
app.
Delete Cases, Work List Entries, Physicians and Users
- deletes all cases, Work List entries, Security Users, and
Physicians with one click.
Delete Physicians - deletes all Physicians and their
settings.
Delete Cases - deletes all stored cases and Work List
entries.
Delete Users - deletes all Security Users.
Delete Storage History - deletes the internal list of all
cases that have been sent to DICOM. This control can
be used when a case has been successfully sent to
DICOM storage and the user wishes to send the case
a second time.
Auto Delete Cases - set the system to automatically
delete cases older than 60, 90 or 120 days star ting
when the control is set and continuing until the control
is deactivated.

Delete Cases - manually delete cases older than the 30,
60, 90, 120 days one time. Use the Older Than dropdown
to select the number of days. Click the Delete button to
delete the cases older than the number of days selected.
Mute System Audio Checkbox - deactivates the DRSHD
1080p Audible Notification feature that gives the user
audible feedback when a still image is captured and
when a video is started or stopped.
E nable O S K C he c k box - activates the On S cre en
Keyboard feature. This control is activated by default.
Enable Voice Annotation - activates the Speech to Text
feature for Annotations.

CAMERA SUB TAB
The Camera Sub Tab contains controls for the Video
Input Source and PIP Buttons. Inputs may be disabled,
renamed, or set as the default (Figure 26).
Video Input Source Label Text Boxes - add a custom
label to each Video Input Source Button on the Record
Page. There is a 9 character limit for the custom label.
Video Input Source Enabled Checkboxes - enables or
disables the corresponding Video Input Source Button
on the Record Page.
Default Camera - selects the default Video Input Source
Button that will always be selected as a surgical case
star ts. If a Video Input Source Button is disabled, it
cannot be set as the Default Camera.

NETWORK SUB TAB
The Network Sub Tab contains settings that allow the
user to view or adjust Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4)
settings for the DRSHD 1080p. IPv6 is not supported
(Figure 27).
DHCP/Manual Dropdown - activates or disables Dynamic
Host Configuration Protocol for the DRSHD 1080p
network connection to the Ethernet Port. Select DHCP
to allow the facility’s network infrastructure to assign
network values to the DRSHD 1080p automatically.
Choose Manual to set network values to the DRSHD
1080p that do not change.
IP Address - displays the present IP address of the
DRSHD 1080p.
Subnet - displays the present IP subnet mask of the
DRSHD 1080p.
Gateway - displays the present default gateway of the
DRSHD 1080p.

REGIONAL SUB TAB
The Regional Sub Tab contains settings that allow the
user to adjust the system time and date, time zone,
language and time/date format (Figure 28).
Date/Time Text Box - used to adjust the system time and
date. Enter a date and time then click the Save Button
to adjust the time and date. The present time and date
are displayed by default.
Time Zone Dropdown - sets the time zone for the DRSHD
1080p capture software. (UTC -5:00) Eastern Time (US
& Canada) is the default setting. Changing the time zone
will automatically adjust the current time.
Language Dropdown - sets the language displayed
for the DRSHD 10 8 0p capture sof tware. Available
languages are Arabic, Chinese (Traditional), Deutch,
English, Espanol, Francias, Italiano, Japanese, Korean,
Portuguese, Russian, Svenska, and Turkish.
Culture Dropdown - sets user interface to use the date
and time format common to the specified region.

The Manual Sub Tab displays the DRSHD 1080p User
Manual (Figure 29).
Export Manual Button - This allows the user manual to
be copied to an external location in PDF format.
Page Down Button - navigates to the next page.
Page Up Button - navigates to the previous page.
Search Button - (magnifying glass shaped icon) search
the manual for keywords.

The Media Tab contains settings that relate to surgical
case digital files and how they are stored. Default
case folder names, archive controls, image file types,
video compression settings, camera color spacing,
PIP activation, video segment length, and microphone
muting are found in the Media Tab (Figure 30). The Media
Tab Settings can be set Per Physician on the Setup Page
> Physicians Tab (Physicians Tab).
Media Tab Controls:
Case Storage Folder Name Dropdown - selects the
folder name convention which cases are stored on a
portable drive.

Available options are:

Timestamp - includes a date and time stamp with a
randomly generated number.

Patient Full Name - includes the first and last name. If

no name is entered, the folder name will be “Unknown(#)”.

Patient ID - folder name is taken from the Patient ID

field. If no Patient ID is entered, the folder name will be
“Unknown(#)”.

Secure Zip Password Button - displays the Secure

Zip Password window used to assign a password to
secure ZIP files. Users are required to enter the previous
password if changing passwords. If no password is set,
all ZIP files will open without a password. Secure .ZIP
files are selectable in the copy dialog.

HD Video Channel Sub Tab - contains adjustments for

the HD video quality and color space.

(HD) Quality Dropdown - Used to adjust the amount of

compression (bit rate) used when creating HD video files.
Changing the Quality setting adjusts both video quality
and file size. The user can select High at 30Mbit/s,
Medium at 20Mbit/s, or Low at 8Mbit/s.

Color Space Dropdown - adjusts the HD capture color

space to RGB or Y U V to adapt to multiple surgical
cameras. Consult camera documentation to identify
the color space required.

SD Video Channel Sub Tab - contains adjustments for

the SD video quality.

(SD) Quality Dropdown - Used to adjust the amount of
compression (bit rate) used when creating SD video files.
Changing the Quality setting adjusts both video quality
and file size. The user can select High at 10Mbit/s,
Medium at 8Mbit /s, or Low at 5Mbit /s. The quality
setting for SD video recordings adjusts the quality for
all three of the SD inputs.
Archiving Location Button - displays the Location
window that allows the user to select a Removable Drive,
a smart device with the MedXStream app, or a Remote
network folder.

LOCATION PAGE
The DRSHD 1080p Location Page is accessed from the
Media Tab when the Archiving Location Button is clicked
and is used to select a location to archive surgical cases
to external devices and network folders (Figure 31-1).
Location Page Controls:
Removable Drives Dropdown - an arrow will appear
to the left of the dropdown when a removable drive
is connected and available. When an arrow is present
click the dropdown to display the available devices and
locations.
MedXStream (iOS) Dropdown - an arrow will appear
to the lef t of the dropdown when an iOS device is
connected and available. When an arrow is present click
the dropdown to display the available devices.
Remote Dropdown - an arrow will appear to the left of
the dropdown when a network location is connected and
available. When an arrow is present click the dropdown to
display the available locations. To connect to a network
folder click the Connect to UNC Button.
Connect to UNC Button - when clicked the user will be
able to enter a network path, username and password
to access a shared folder or network location. Leave the
username and password blank if they are not required.
After a UNC path is entered, it must be selected on the
Remote Dropdown to be the chosen Archive Path.
To specify a Removable Drive as the Archive Location:
1. Connect an external drive to the DRSHD 1080p. A
new USB drive may take up to 30 seconds to install
and become usable.
2. Click the Archive Location Button. If no archive has
been set, this box will show “None” (Figure 31-1).
3. Click the Removable Drives Dropdown after the
arrow to the left of the dropdown appears (Figure
31-2).
4. Select the drive letter and path desired (Figure 31-2).
5. Click OK (Figure 31-2).
Image File Type Dropdown - used to select the file type
to be used for still image capture. The choices are BMP,
JPEG, or PNG.

time limitation. The segment time limitation is active by
default. When deactivated, the captured video files are
unlimited in length or size.

Segment Length Minutes and Seconds Dropdown -

used to set the amount of time of continuous recording
that is possible before a video segment file is completed
and a new one is created. The default segment time is 5
minutes. A 5 minute HD video segment at High Quality
setting is approximately 1 GB in size. It is recommended
that a segment length limitation be set when the user
expects to copy digital files to a USB flash drive or to
burn digital files to a CD/DVD.

PRINTING TAB
The Printing Tab contains controls to select the default
printing settings that are displayed as the Print Button
is clicked on the Review Page (Print Page) and used with
the Auto Print feature. The Printing Tab Settings can be
selected Per Physician on the Setup Page > Physicians
Tab (Figure 32).
Include Image Date Checkbox - when activated a print
job will include the image date of capture under the
images.
Number of Copies - adjusts the default number of copies
for a print job.

Printing Tab Controls: E n ha n ce me nts E nable d - when activated the

Print Preview Window - displays the print job with all of
the set defaults as it will look when printed.
Printer Dropdown - used to select the default printer
for print jobs.
Enhancements Dropdown will be available.
Enhancements Dropdown - used to access digital
Gamma, Brightness, Saturation, Sharpen, and Contrast
adjustments for the images in the present print job.

Page Layout Dropdown - used to select 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, or
15 images per page.
4:3 Crop Checkbox - activate this checkbox to crop a
16:9 image to a 4:3 image. This is useful with scope
images.
Auto Print Checkbox - activates the Auto Print feature.
Auto Print is a expedited printing feature that sends a
print job to the printer without user intervention as a
surgical case is performed. When Auto Print is enabled,
still image captures are printed using the default printing
settings immediately as a print job becomes available.
When automatic printing is in progress, a printer icon
will appear on the title bar of the recording software.
Enhancements Checkboxes - when activated the
Enhancement Sliders will become available and a print
job will include preset image color, brightness, contrast,
and sharpen adjustments.
Enhancement Sliders - used to adjust the selected
Enhancement. The result of the adjustment will be seen
in the Print Preview Window as it is made.
Print Test - sends a sample print job to the specified
printer with all of the preset printing options. The sample
print job as it will be sent to the printer is displayed in
the Print Preview Window.

WORK LIST TAB
The Work List Tab contains Sub Tabs titled Local,
MWL, and HL7 used to select one of the three Work
List configurations (Figure 33). In addition to being a
work list client the DRSHD 1080p can combine work list
functionality with DICOM storage. This combination will
help facilitate the import of patient demographics within
MWL and HL7 Work List configurations as well as the
export of patient demographics and digital files within
surgical cases. This makes the DRSHD 1080p a client
machine that can be assigned cases to be completed by
a work list administrator; The DRSHD 1080p can then
optionally send the captured digital files and Patient
Study Information to be stored on a digital file storage
ser ver. A PACS ser ver can be programmed to send
cases via MWL to many DRSHD 1080p machines in one
facility and then to store the captured digital files from
the surgical cases via DICOM Storage. This creates a
master work list and case reconciliation system that
can be used to help manage multiple OR workflow. For
more information on automated digital file storage see
Archiving (Archiving), and DICOM Storage Tab (DICOM
Storage Tab).
Local Work List Sub Tab (default) – all cases are
created and maintained on the DRSHD 1080p locally
when this Sub Tab is selected and the Save Button is
clicked. There is no required Patient Study Information
to create and begin or to schedule a future case in this
Work List configuration.
Modality Work List Sub Tab (MWL) – the Work List
Server delivers cases to the DRSHD 1080p. The DRSHD
1080p works as a client to the work list server. Scheduled
cases can also be created and completed locally. Patient
Study Information is not required to create and start a
case or to schedule a future case.
MWL Sub Tab Controls:
Filter By AE Title - allows only cases assigned to the
specified Application Entity Title to be imported from
the work list server. This filter defaults to the Calling AE
Title when it is entered and set. The filer can be cleared
manually if the user wishes to import the complete work
list without this filter.

Server 1-4 Sub Tabs - used to select connection settings
and select from one of four DICOM servers to be the
default DICOM Storage Server. Each Server Sub Tab
contains Text Box controls for each of the server settings
that are required to connect to a MWL Server.

are older that the selected value from appearing on the
Work List Page when in MWL Work List configuration.

HL7 Sub Tab - The DRSHD 1080p is capable of receiving
HL7 Scheduling Information Unsolicited messages
(SIU^S12, SIU^S13, SIU^S14, SIU^S15) for impor ting
patient demographic information from an Electronic
Medical Record system or Electronic Health Record
system (EMR/EHR). The Patient Information Fields are
imported onto the Work List Page. If DICOM Storage is
active, the Patient Information Fields are translated into
DICOM tags automatically and then stored with the case
digital files on the DICOM Storage Server. Unscheduled
cases can also be created and completed locally. There
is no required Patient Study Information to create and
begin a case.

A Storage Server can be set up to upload digital files
created on the DRSHD 1080p, to a PACS via DICOM
protocol. While Storage Server is enabled, the DRSHD
1080p can automatically transmit digital files to the
selected server upon close of the active case. Conversely,
users may choose to manually upload case digital files
to the Selected Server on the Review Page after the case
has been completed.

Each Physician can select unique Patient Fields, Printer

Settings and Media Settings. They can also create unique
Annotations and Procedures to be selectable when they
are assigned to the case in progress. With a preset profile
the user has no settings to adjust as the different profiles
are loaded automatically as a case is started.

Performing Physicians contained in the DICOM Modality

Work List and HL7 work lists are automatically added
to the DRSHD 1080p capture software Physicians list.

Physicians Tab Controls:

Add Physician Button - activates the Add Physician
Window used to create a new Physician profile.

Sync Settings To Global Checkbox - when active the

Physician Profile will always sync to the default Printing,
Media, and Patient Fields settings. When not active the
user may select unique Printing, Media, and Patient
Fields settings that will be loaded when the Physician
is assigned to a case as the Performing Physician. This
checkbox can be activated when a new Physician is
created or when the user clicks the Edit Button.

Edit Button - activates the Update Physician window

used to alter the Full Name of the Physician and to edit
the Sync Settings To Global Checkbox.

Delete Button - erases the Physician profile. Erasing

Dr. Sample will remove all default annotations from the
DRSHD 1080p.

The Physician Profile Sub Tabs contain controls for
unique user set tings for Annotations, Procedures,
Printing, Media, and Patient Fields. The settings created
in these tabs are unique to the Physician; if the user

be found on the Media Tab (Media Tab), Printing Tab
(Printing Tab), and the Patient Fields Tab (Patient Fields
Tab) on the Setup Page.
Annotations Sub Tab - use the Add Annotation Button
to create a new Annotation and optionally share it with
the rest of the users. Sharing an Annotation will make
it appear in all user Annotation lists.

SECURITY TAB
The Security Tab is used to administrate the DRSHD
1080p capture software Security feature (Figure 38).
When the optional security feature is activated users
must provide a preset Username and Password to gain
access to software functions. This feature helps prevent
unauthorized users from accessing the DRSHD 1080p
recording software. The Usernames and Passwords
stored on the Security Tab also allow users to log into the
DRSHD 1080p capture software using the MedXStream
smart device software.

Security Tab Controls:

Securit y Enabled Checkbox - used to activate the
Security feature enforcement. Users must have a profile
in the Security Username list and provide a preset
Username and Password to gain access to software
functions when the Security Feature is activated. When
a user activates the Security Enabled Checkbox, the
Security feature will be active on the next launch of the
DRSHD 1080p capture software.

Add User Button - displays the Add User window used

to create a new Security User. The user created will
have the ability to sign in to the DRSHD 1080p capture
software.

Edit Button - used to alter Username, Password, and

Notes of a user. The user’s current password is required
to edit a Security Username, Password, or Notes.

A warm damp cloth can be used to wipe the outside of
the unit.

CONNECTING COMPUTER TO POWER
The DRSHD 1080p system comes with 1 HOSPITAL
GR ADE power cord which is indicated by the Green
dot on the male end of the cord for connecting the
computer to the electrical outlet. In order to achieve
proper grounding of the DRSHD 1080p system, use the
provided HOSPITAL GRADE power cord or equivalent.
Warning: A multiple portable socket-outlet or extension
cord should not be connected to the system.
Warning: Do not connect items that have not been
specified as par t of the DRSHD 1080p computer or
specified as being compatible with the DRSHD 1080p.
Note: A multiple port power strip should not be used to
connect the system because it can increase the over all
leakage for the system.
CLASSIFICATIONS

NOTES
Warning: There are no known potential electromagnetic
or other interference between the DRSHD 1080p system
and other devices. If the system does cause harmful
interference, the user is encouraged to correct the
interference by one of the following methods:
Med X Change, Inc will not be held responsible for any
personal/internet use. The DRSHD 1080p is to be used
for Digital Recording only. The warranty will be null and
void, in response to any repairs that may be needed, if
personal/internet use is apparent.

1. Relocate the DRSHD 1080p or the device that is WARRANTY

receiving the interference.
2. Increase the separation between the DRSHD 1080p
and the device that is receiving the interference.
3. Connect the DRSHD 1080p into an outlet on a circuit
different from that to which the device is connected.
There are preventative measures that can be taken
to ensure proper functionality of the DRSHD 1080p
system. The system should be shutdown and restarted
periodically (at least every other day). A proper shutdown
sequence would be to press the power button on the
front of the DRSHD 1080p one time and release. Holding
the power button down until power is off should only be
done when directed by Med X Change Technical Support.
Med X Change, Inc. will provide a warranty against
manufacturer’s defect of all DRSHD 1080p hardware,
which will ex tend for a period of 12 months from
manufacturer date; covering parts and labor only. During
the respective warranty periods Med X Change, Inc. will
repair or replace defective parts and maintain software
applications to original specifications. Claims under
warranty are null and void if the defect has been caused
by improper handling/use, or if the DRSHD 1080p at
issue has been serviced by unauthorized persons or
product/service providers. Med X Change, Inc. warrants
that the DRSHD 1080p is free of defects in material and
manufacture at the time of delivery and that the DRSHD
1080p meets the specifications.

T he fuses use d in the DR S HD 10 8 0 p syste m are

nonreplaceable by the user. If there is a problem with a
fuse, please contact customer service at (888) 982-4469
or Email support@medxchange.com to set up repair.

There are no repairable component parts in the DRSHD

1080p system. Any system that needs repair should be
returned to the manufacturer for such repair.

This equipment is not suitable for use in the presence

of flammable anesthetic mixture or with nitrous oxide.
Med X Change, Inc cannot be held responsible for any
data loss in accordance to the DRSHD 1080p.

Med X Change, Inc. strongly recommends the client burn

all videos immediately to a USB drive or use the archiving
feature in accordance to the DRSHD 1080p User Manual.

Med X Change, Inc. strongly recommends you purchase

and hook up a battery back up system as well as a surge
protector (ex. 1100 VA surge protector), in accordance
to the DRSHD 1080p User Manual.

Electrostatic Discharge Precaution
When using USB devices do not touch the USB ports.
Contacting the ports may create electrostatic discharge
(ESD) which may cause the system to freeze and prevent
the USB peripherals from functioning properly. Before
restarting the computer, attempt to restore functionality
by unplugging the USB device and re-plugging it back into
the port. Wait approximately 10 seconds to determine
if functionality has been restored. If not, restar t the
computer.
If the system is installed near or on other electronic
devices, please observe to verify normal operation. Other
devices may emit harmful radiation or interference that
could affect system performance.
Use of accessories and cables other than those provided
with the system could result in increased emissions or
decreased immunity of the equipment and may cause
the system to be non-compliant with the requirements
of IEC 60601-1-2:2007.
