ABSTRACT
Introduction: Bacteria were able to develop resistance mechanisms and thus, in the 50s,
penicillin resistant Staphilococcus aureus strains were already known. ⁶ Methodology:
Serrata species were grown in the peptoned broth tube, then a sample was taken with the
swab and the respective dissolution was carried out in a Muller agar. Results: several semi-
discs were found, to which the bacterium was more sensitive, among them it was found that
cephalosporins have more sensitivity. Discussion: The resistance or sensitivity of the bacteria
that are under the action of several antibiotics is evaluated by means of the antibiogram,
therefore if a microorganism is in contact with the medicine, it can maintain its vitality capacity
and it is inferred that the medicine does not It has enough mechanisms to act on the bacteria.
Conclusions: It was possible to identify the action of antibiotics on cultured bacteria,
observing which of the medications was most effective in each of the bacteria and which
medications were inoperative on it.
