How to place the printer and how to make the earthing cable for the printer
There are 2or3 pieces of cables from the printer to the computer. There is a piece of cable with
two D shape 9 pins sock.. One terminal should be connected to COM1 of the computer and the
other terminal should be connected to the main board of the printer on the carriage. On the USB
main board, there are two serial ports. The one which is far away from USB2.0 port is that we
should connect to. That is J5 on the USB main board. There is a piece of USB2.0 cable connected
between computer USB 2.0 port and USB main board on the carriage of the printer. There are
some computers with bad compatibility which can’t be turned on when USB cable connected to
the printer. After installing the drivers for the printer and computer, even if we do not turn on the
printer, the LEDs of D6 and D7 on the USB main board of the printer will be bright. If D5 and D6
are bright but D7, it means drivers for the computer and printer is not installed properly. If there is
the function in the printer, a piece of data cable should be connected to the computer and the
printer.
Installation
Installing skyjet manager is very simple. Copy the folder of skyjet manager to the hard disk of
the computer. For example, you can copy it to the C drive or D drive root directory or desktop.
After flushing the new print heads, fasten the print heads on print head set. And then, install all the
print heads on the arc board on the carriage. Connect print heads and print head controller board.

process of initialization is like this:
Installation
①Click “Check”. The carriage moves and the printer will print a series of color blocks.
From above figure, all the print heads are not in one horizontal line. And the print heads position is
not good in every color.
②Align all the upper lines of print heads of number 0 in one line. As the printing above, we can
adjust the screws on the print head set. Black0, yellow0 and magenta 0 are in one horizontal line. So
we can just make the light magenta0 inside to raise the Lm0, light cyan0 outside to decline the Lc0
and cyan0 outside to decline c0.
③Adjust number 1(the 2nd row) print heads of every color to be closed to number 0 print heads of
every color. The principle is that there is no gaps and no overlaps between each of the color blocks.
④After finishing the adjustment, the printing should be like below:
⑤The next step is to decide the value of “one nozzle feed”. Open Skyjet Manager. Select the
option as below to select the “color mode”

If color blocks printed as figure1, decrease the value of “ one nozzle feed” to reduce the distance.
If color blocks printed as figure2, increase the value of “ one nozzle feed” to add up the distance.
If color blocks printed as figure3, the adjustment of the value has been finished.
By the way, if the printing is shorter than the size set in Photo Print, increase the value of “one
nozzle feed” to prolong the printing.

Installation
Press “Test” button, the printer prints maybe like below figure.
C1 is on the left side of C0. M1 is on the right side of M0. Y1 is on the left side of the Y0. K1 is
on the left side of K0. Lc1 is on the left side of Lc0. Lm1 is on the right side of Lm0. We should
do like this to make print heads of number 0 and number1 in one horizontal line. Double click
row C and column1 in the below area of figure1 for modification. Increase the value till the C1 is
accurate under the C0. It is the same as other colors for calibration. After finish row1 print head
calibration. Let’s go on row 2 print head calibration. Increase C2, M2, K2, Lc2 and Lm2 values.
Decrease Y2. Make three lines of the same color print heads in one vertical line. After the vertical
line calibration, the printing of “Test” should be like this.
Installation
Usually, what user should do is just load the file in the cd-rom with the printer which extension name
is .sjp. When you have loaded the default parameter, there may be a condition that the calibration is not
so accurate. We can modify the H1, H2, H3, H4 and H5 value in the above area in figure 1 to make the
six lines apart. This can adjust the parameter easily. After make vertical line calibration of 6 color, we
will go on the horizontal lines calibration.

Installation
The horizontal error in above figure is not so bad. So we can just do a slight adjustment. When the
carriage goes back, the quality of the printing is not good. We should adjust the parameter for
horizontal error severally. Modify the value in the control panel to make the line forward deviated
the line backward severely. Thus we can observe them clearly.
Installation
Click the button in the red ellipse in above figure to modify the horizontal error severally.
Installation
Now, it’s time to modify the general horizontal error in the control panel. We can input a large
value to observe which direction the calibration line when it goes backward printed. Increase and
decrease the value of general horizontal error to make it print on a vertical line like below:

Dither Type is the pattern in which the individual dots that make an image are applied to the
media. Each dither type has advantages in terms of quality and RIP speed. The
default dither type is usually the best setting for your machine.
The software offers several dithering options to optimize your output. Usually,
quality and speed are in tradeoff, with KF Diffusion offering the highest quality and
the LX Diffusion or FMXPress offering the fastest processing times.
The available patterns (in descending order of quality) are:
Operation

Operation
Enable driver options Allows you to use the available driver options for your output device.
When driver options are enabled, you can set special options from
within the driver options dialog. When driver options are disabled,
the printer’s own settings will be used.
Overprint Number of times you would like the printer to print over the same
area. This setting increases the number of ink layers placed on the
media.
Page Spacing The amount of space between each separate job.
Dry Time This is the amount of time the printer waits after it has completed
printing, allowing the ink to dry.
Print Direction Direction the print heads move when printing. In Bi-directional mode
the print cartridges print from left to right, then from right to left. In
unidirectional mode, the cartridges print from right to left only.
Bi-directional mode prints faster, but unidirectional mode usually
produces a better quality print.
Media feed calibration If checked, the printer will use the value provided to compensate for
variations in feed rates during the output process. This provides more
accurate output.
Cut sheet after printing Cuts the media after the print is complete. If a drying time has been
set, the media will be cut after the dry time is finished.
Advance after print If checked, the media will feed past the heads and remain there at the
end of the job.
Restore Defaults Click to return all settings on the tab to their default values.
Operation
Color Adjust Tab The Color tab provides some basic tools to manually adjust the
output color. Move the slider to the left or right to decrease or
increase respectively the amount of that color in the output.
Operation
The slider allows you to quickly adjust all color channels as a group.
Print as separations Check to print each color plane separately. To print separations for
certain colors only, clear the checkboxes for the colors you do not want
to print.
Print separations in color Check to make each process color separation print in the
appropriate color of ink. If this option is not selected, all
process color separations will print in black.
Separations for spot colors will always print in black.
Print spot colors as process Check to convert spot colors to their best process color
approximations and include them in the process color separations.
If this box is not checked, and your device supports spot colors,
each spot color will be printed as an individual separation.
