This course covers a wide range of topics about the Philippine banking systems and how financial
institutions play their role in the economy. It will also discuss topics in details such as the economic
analysis of financial structure, the banking and management of financial institutions, and the
structure, competition and regulation of the banking industry.
Business ethics
Business ethics is an important part of any industry. Students or managers, unfamiliar with
many ethical challenges, behaviors, or regulations will find themselves struggling in business
industries that include finance, accounting or human resource management, marketing and
retail.
Syllabus
This course applies ethical theory and practice to business management. We review different ethical systems, cultu
variations, and ways organizations develop and implement ethics programs. A variety of cases and projects are includ
from many different sources. Cases are used. Written work is required.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
To develop skills in recognizing and analyzing ethical issues and present this analysis in written form
To understand cross cultural variations and similarities in organizational practices in corporate social
responsibility and business ethics
To diagnose sources of organizational ethical culture and deviant behavior
To design ethical programs designed to accomplish specific objectives in organizations
To develop ethical leadership skills and practices
