WE EXPRESS OUR SYMPATHY to Lyle and Ronna De Vos & family on the passing
away of Ronna’s dad, Dwayne Plender, of Orange City. Our sympathies also to Ryan
and Kelley Crawford as Mr. Plender was Ryan’s uncle. A memorial service was held
Saturday at the Trinity Reformed Church of Orange City. May God comfort those who
mourn.

OUR VALET CAR PARKING MINISTRY has become very important and appreciated
by many in our congregation. Each Sunday there are two valet attendants who assist in
parking cars. If you would like to be part of this ministry, please sign-up on the sheet in
the fellowship hall and you will be added to our current list of valet parking assistants
beginning in 2020. We ask that you be at least 18 years of age (male or female) to
participate. If you have questions, call the church office at 439-1263.
CHILDREN IN WORSHIP needs a couple more storytellers. This involves one or two
Sundays per year. It is a great way to get to know some of the youngest in our church
family. If you are willing to help in this way, contact Sindy Bonestroo as soon as
possible at 725-6618.
THE CHILDREN’S LIBRARY has been moved up to the fellowship hall for a time.
Check it out! Instead of a library card system, you are free to “take a book” (no due date)
and “bring a book” (donate).
COLLECTING FOR KEVIN SAS-PEREZ: Today is the final day to bring supplies for
Kevin Sas-Perez’s after-school program and other youth ministries at Transformation
City Church in Milwaukee, WI. A collection box is in the fellowship hall.

PUT YOUR POP TABS TO USE: Ashlie Saavedra and April Van Der Brink are starting
to collect pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House, as part of an FCCLA
(extracurricular) project. They will be bringing the pop tabs to the Ronald McDonald
House towards the end of the school year. Between now and then, they invite you to
bring your pop tabs to church. There will be a collection bucket outside the church
office. Thanks!
THE LOVE GIFT OFFERING is an offering taken each year during the Sunday School
Christmas Program (December 15) and given to a local family/person in need of
financial help or a little encouragement. Contact Bethany Dykstra today, if you have a
suggestion for this year’s recipient.
THE CHURCH SOUP SUPPER will be held on Thursday, November 14, from 5:00 to
7:30 P.M. at the Hull Community Center. Freewill donation offering will be taken for
Inspiration Hills.
THE KIWANIS CLUB OF HULL invites the churches of our community to worship
together on Sunday, November 24, at 6:00 P.M. at the First Christian Reformed Church
for our annual Thanksgiving service.
PENNY HARVEST: Start saving your coins to put into the ‘Penny Harvest’
aquarium. All money donated will be given to The Gospel Mission in Sioux City.
The aquarium will be in the back of the sanctuary on Sunday, November 17 & 24.
CANNED FOOD OFFERING for The Gospel Mission in Sioux City will be on Sunday,
November 24. Bring canned food and non-perishable items that Sunday and during the
Children’s Message, the children will collect the food. Please, no glass containers.
THE 8th ANNUAL COOKIE WALK is Saturday, December 7, from 9:00-11:30 A.M.
Sign-up sheets are in the fellowship hall. We need donations of cookies, candy, munch
mixes, and other treats! More information is in the November Highlights. All proceeds
go towards the Building Fund. Thanks!
