1- Stability analysis of a solar panel supporting structure -1
subjected to wind and earthquake forces Stability analysis of a solar panel supporting structure used as a fuel -2 station in green automobile engineering. The design of solar panel supporting structure and the effects of wind and earthquake forces on its structural stability discussed. The measurements for preventing the overturning of the structure presented. This structure can be used anywhere in Saudi Arabia (calculations are based on all wind and seismic zones of Saudi Arabia), and can be freely placed anywhere as the bas has no special holding arrangement.
2- Solar PV fxings and wind loading -3
Installing solar PV systems is disruption-free and most systems are installed in two or three days. Unless your building is single story, you will need to have scaffolding put up. The fixing system used to hold solar PV panels on your roof must be strong enough to support the weight of the panels in all weather conditions, including strong wind. They also need to be able to withstand a wide range of temperatures and to be installed so that they do not let water get in through your roof. The type of fixing system used will depend on whether the solar PV panels are going to be: • retrofitted onto an existing roof • roof integrated – used instead of tiles or other roofing materials • installed on a flat roof • ground mounted. 3- A Review of solar Chimney Power Generation -4 Technology The present study presents an overview of the main -5 characteristics of a novel kind of solar thermal application called solar chimney power plant. It is a technology of electric power generation using solar energy by employing basic physics that when air is heated it rises. The created updraft can be used to turn a turbine placed at an appropriate position within a tall chimney to generate electricity. The study discusses the principles and characteristics of such a system, its requirements, its construction and its operation. It also focuses on actual research and development of solar chimney projects. An analysis of solar chimneys presented, aimed particularly to study -6 stability and structural strength of cylindrical reinforced concrete or steel tower. The design of this tower has several technical challenges. This tower is subjected to his own weight, the effects of wind and the pressure due to the flow of air inside the chimney. In this study, the effect of these loads on the stability and strength of the chimney examined. 4- Wind Loads on Rooftop Photovoltaic Panel Systems -7 Installed Parallel to Roof Planes A- BS 6399-2:1997 Code of practice for wind loads -8 BRE Digest part 1 - wind loading on buildings Brief guidance for -9 using BS 6399-2:1997 BRE Digest part 2 - Wind loading on buildings BS 6399-2:1997 -10 worked examples – effective wind speeds for a site, and loads on a two-storey house BRE Digest 489 BRE-Digest-489-Wind-loads-on-roof-based- -11 photovoltaic-systems B- The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Minimum -12 Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures (ASCE Standard 7- 05 C- EN 1991-1-4: Eurocode Wind Actions, CEN, 2005 -13 D- wind load in Saudi Arabia according to UBC 1997 (USA) -14 -15 5- Using CSI Sap 2000 and CSI Etabs to generate wind -16 and seismic loads in Saudi Arabia.
