Topic to be discusses: Treatment of infectious diseases

Approximately half of all deaths caused by infectious diseases each year can contribute to just three diseases:
Tuberculosis, Malaria and AIDS. Together, these diseases cause over 300 million illnesses and more than 5 million
deaths each year.

You have been to a world health organization meeting to discuss infectious diseases worldwide. You are asked to
select one of the diseases mentioned above, or another diseases of choice, and to prepare a report of 1000-1500
words for the meeting, summarizing:

 The present state of the disease worldwide

 The medicines available for its treatment and how they work
 A green chemistry type analysis of the manufacture of the medicine
 The other factors that need to be faced (Criteria D) to ensure that the disease is eventually treated
successfully.

NOTE:

 as part of these factors, consider the issues relating the TRIPs (Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual
Property Right) Agreement and how it related to the Provision of essential medicines at affordable costs to
developing countries.
 Use proper Scientific terminology and citation techniques
