YEAR 7 OUTLINE SCHEME OF WORK

Year 7 Outline Scheme of Work 2019-20

 Each lesson is planned as a 120 minute double. In Year 7 these are split over two 40 minute single
lessons for three of the classes.

 For some lessons (in particular the country comparisons at the end of the SoW) they may take slightly
longer than two single lessons (depending on how engaged the girls are and how many questions they
ask!). You can adapt the lessons and tasks as you see fit for your class. (For the country comparisons It
may be that you don’t have time to look at all four countries.)

 Within each term there will be a key terms test and formalised tests, including review content of
previous topics. This data will be collated centrally.

 This outline plan doesn’t take into account lessons lost for INSET days and girls being out on trips. If you
find you are struggling to fit in all the content and are not sure what to leave out just ask!

 All Key Terms Tests, assessments and the summer exam will be available in the shared area in the
Autumn term so you can look ahead at the content of them.
