 Pengertian Procedure Text

What is the Text Procedure? Procedure Text is a type of English text or commonly called
genre that shows the process of making or operating something that serves to describe
how something is done through regular steps.

 Tujuan Komunikatif Procedure Text

The communicative purpose of the Text Procedure is to provide instructions on how to do
something through sequential actions or steps

 C.Structure Procedure TexT

The linguistic structure of the Procedure Text consists of 3 parts, namely:

 Aim/ Goal

In the linguistic structure the first part of this Procdeure Text contains information about
the purpose in making or operating something.

 Materis
 In the second part, materials consist of materials used in making something. But not
all Text Procedures include material parts, sometimes the Text Procedures do not
have material parts.
 Steps
 In the steps section, contains the steps or sequences that must be carried out so that
the objectives described in the Aim / Goal section can be achieved. The steps or
sequences must be in order from the first to the last. To show the sequence of stages,
usually in making procedure text using adverbs such as the first, the second, the third,
the last, etc. and use conjunctions like then, while, etc.

 Ciri-ciri Procedure Text

There are several linguistic features in the Text Procedure, including

 -Using imperative sentence patterns (commands), for example cut the carrots into
pieces, put the sugar on the cup, boil the water, etc.

-Using action verbs, for example cut, put, boil, etc

o Using conjunctions (conjunctions) to sort activities for example then, while.

o Using adverbs (adverbs) to state detailed time, place, accurate ways, for
example for five minutes, 2 hours
( -Using adverbs (adverbs) to express stages or sequences, for example the first, the
second, the third, the last, etc)
 USING simple present

 how to cook instant noodles
• The tools that must be provided are as follows.

-Pan.

-Filtering.

-Bowl.

-Spoon

Materials that must be provided are as follows.

-Instant noodles.

-Hot water.

The steps are as follows.

• First, put hot water into the pan then turn on the stove. Then, open the package of instant noodles
and boil the noodles.

• Second, wait for about 3 minutes to cook, after cooking drain the noodles using filtering and flush the
noodles using hot water.

• Third, mix the instant noodle seasoning into the bowl. Then, pour hot water into the bowl.

• Fourth, pour the noodles into a bowl that has been seasoned.

• After that, instant noodles can be enjoyed.
