Band Placement Auditions

It is important that you spend time preparing this music for your audition. Part of the audition process is showing effort and desire
by demonstrating you have adequately prepared the music.

I. Chromatic Scale
Play a chromatic scale the full range of your instrument of which you are capable (as low as possible to as high as possible...2 octave
minimum) in quarter notes at a tempo of at least 120 beats per minute. Slur going up the scale and tongue coming down. Horn and
Oboe players may want to talk to their band director about how to approach a two octave scale on their instrument.
