EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Smokey’s BBQ TEAM is a street food BBQ business is

designed to all kinds of customers, who sell different kind of street foods

including barbecue, hotdogs with bread and combined with drinks that will

suits to your taste like chocolate shake. Street foods are highly appreciated and

vastly popular in the streets, it is one of the favorites of the Filipino people

because it is easy to prepare and very affordable. Most of the street foods can

be found typically in the streets and it is very dangerous for the students to go

out and buy because it might cause accident and that is the thing that we need

to avoid. By that, the Smokey’s BBQ TEAM brings the culture of street foods

near to you. We are selling a high quality product, that the students will surely

love it. Our main objective is to establish a street food carts in the school, so

that we can assure that the safety and health of the students/customers are

highly protected.

MISSION

Our main goal is to bring a safe, flavorful, yummy and satisfaction

between our valuable costumers. Smokey’s BBQ TEAM wanted to bring

happiness when they eat our products because they will freshen up, and enjoy

for every pieces of food that they eat. Also to established a presence of

successful local street food and serve a high-quality food at a great value and

lower price.

VISION

Smokey’s BBQ TEAM aims to sell the products that are of the

highest quality, as well as keeping the costumers happy with all of our product

categories from food to merchandising and the services so that we can be a

leading street food seller in the Town of Maayon.

DESCRIPTION OF THE BUSINESS

Smokey’s BBQ TEAM is a business specially designed for the

students in Maayon National High School. This is built by cooperative of

students and was inspired by the Ihawan business in the streets of Maayon.

Barbecue fans are passionate about their favorite food. Their passion is both an

opportunity and a hurdle if you're considering opening a barbecue joint. On the

one hand, if we will do a good job we could have a successful outcome

regarding to our chosen business. On the other hand, we need to really know

the meat and the techniques to succeed. You'll also need to know some basics

about how to keep our head above water in the backbreaking restaurant

industry. Barbecue is based on patience and technique, rather than a long list of

ingredients. Similarly, the menu for our barbecue business should be focused

and not excessively complicated. If we offer too many menu items or too many

different types of meats, it will be unlikely to do them all well. We will also

end up with considerably more waste than necessary, especially while we are

still building your reputation and your clientele. Put attention and care into our

sides as well. Even people who don't prefer barbecue often enjoy the sides, and

may be more willing to accompany the barbecue lovers in their lives if we

prepare these dishes well. The business is newly established in the area for it

will persuade the students to buy a delicious ihaw-ihaw, with a combination of

vey savory sauce. If you feel thirsty, we have also the flavorful shake that will

relieve your feeling and will give you a satisfying experience.

Smokey’s BBQ TEAM is a neighborhood BBQ food, we are a

chain of barbecue stand preparing and serving grilled pork meat, and several

flavors of barbecue sauce for immediate consumption to the students in a

conducive environment that is specifically designed for socializing and

networking and free from all forms of violence.

We will also engage in the retailing of barbecue grills, isaw,

hotdog grills and related accessories. Our BBQ stand facility and store is

centrally located in a school.

Smokey’s BBQ TEAM is designed and constructed to meet both

the health and safety standard as recommended by the local authority. We are

in business to make profits at the same to give our customers value for their

money; we want to give people the opportunity to choose from the wide range

of barbecue and barbecue sauce Smokey’s BBQ TEAM will go all the way to

make available a wide range of BBQ equipment and accessories.

Our goal is to make every day a day of celebration, networking

and socializing for as many people that will patronize our BBQ stand. No

doubt, we will become the talk of town amongst the socialites in Maayon. We

are doing all we can to see that our products meets the need of our consumers

at all times. Smokey’s BBQ TEAM is going to operate a standard BBQ stand

that will make available assorted barbecue, barbecue sauce flavors and

barbecue grills and accessories.

We are in business to services and satisfy our customers and also

to make profits and we are going to go all the way to achieve our business

goals within the stipulated ordinances in the town. These are some of the

MARKET STRATEGIES:

The entrepreneurs offers the main target customers, which are the people of

Maayon National High School including the students, teachers, parents, faculty and staffs.

A new quality and delicious BBQ and fill the customer’s body. The product is a

good combination because the BBQ complements with the flavors of the fries that are

new to the school market, and it will also be so much handy.

Top of the list on our marketing and sale strategy document is

generating a buzz for our BBQ stand and store via word-of-mouth and

leveraging on road show.

The model of BBQ restaurant and store business we intend

running is a neighborhood BBQ stand hence we are not going to rely only on

the conventional ways of marketing. We don’t have the plans to run paid

adverts on Local TV stations, local radio stations or even local newspaper but

we will sure maximize every other available means to promote our business.

Our unique selling proposition is that we are into preparing and

serving pork ribs, chicken, beef brisket, and several flavors of barbecue sauce

for immediate consumption and also the retailing of Alcoholic and Non –

alcoholic drinks, Gas grills, Charcoal grills, Electric grills, BBQ tools and

accessories.

In view of that, we are going to adopt the following marketing

strategies to ensure that we do not only attract customers but generate repeated

sales from them. Part of the marketing and sales strategies that we will adopt

are:

 Open our BBQ restaurant and store in a grand style with a party for all.

 Introduce our BBQ restaurant and store by sending introductory letters

alongside our brochure to organizations, households and key stake

holders in Maayon National High School.

 Ensure that we have a wide range of barbecue, barbecue sauce, BBQ

grills and accessories and flavorful drinks at all times.

 Make use of attractive hand bills to create awareness and also to give

direction to our BBQ restaurant and store.

 Position our signage / flexi banners at strategic places in and around the

Maayon National High School.

 Position our greeters to welcome and direct potential customers

 Create a loyalty plan that will enable us reward our regular customer

For any business to do pretty well there must be robust plans in

place to attract the target market. Before starting our BBQ stand and finger

foods business in Maayon National High School., we conducted a thorough

market survey and we are certain that there is a wide range of people who

would patronize our stand on a regular basis.

In view of that, we have created strategies that will enable us

reach out to various groups of people who are likely going to become our loyal

Strength:

It is very vital to have one’s areas of strength spelt out. This is one

of the very reasons why we employed the services of experts to tell us about

the strength as a company. We have an excellent and detailed customer service.

We offer a wide range of assorted barbecues, different flavors of

barbecue sauce, barbecue equipment and accessories and alcoholic and non –

alcoholic drinks. Easy to access and excellent facility, excellent ambience and

perfect location for a grill services.

Weakness:

Just like as there are areas of strength, there will also be areas of

weaknesses. So, our perceived weakness could be that we are new business,

and we may not have the financial muscle to sustain the kind of publicity we

want to give our business.

Opportunities

There are unlimited business opportunities available to BBQ

restaurant and store businesses in the town of Maayon, therefore we grab this

opportunity to create firms with in the town.

Threat

Just like any other business, one of the major threats that we are

likely going to face is economic downturn. It is a fact that economic downturn

affects purchasing / spending power. Another threat that may likely confront us

is the arrival of a new BBQ stands in same location where our target market

exists and who may want to adopt same business model like us.

OPERATIONS AND MANAGEMENT

Smokey’s BBQ TEAM is a partnership formed by five (5) individuals who

operate the business and distinguish themselves as co-owners of the business. This business

attains the general partnership from which concerns the individuals within Smokey’s BBQ

TEAM as the owners and the operators of the business who also assumes the liability

responsibilities of the partners.
