I N S T RU C T I O N S

Using your templates:

1. Open up the appropriate PSD file in Photoshop.

2. Make sure the Layers Palette is open

3. Open the photo you would like to use in Photoshop, making sure that the resolution of the
image is at least 300 dpi.

4. Using the Selection Arrow Tool, drag your image onto the card template and resize the
image, if needed. (You can do this by using the function “Command+T” or “Apple+T”).

5. In the Layers Palette, move your image directly above the layer titled “Clip image to this
layer” inside the “Image” folder.

6. Select the new layer that was created when you opened your image (usually titled “Layer
1”, and right click on this layer.

7. Choose “Create Clipping Mask” under this selection.

8. Save image as a JPEG and upload images to your print lab of choice.

I N S T RU C T I O N S

Changing colors within the template:

1. To change a color, simply double-click on the colored box (layer thumbnail) to the left of
the layer you’d like to change.

2. The Color Picker should pop up. Choose a solid color of your choice.

3. Hit “OK,” and that specific layer should reflect the updated color.

Updating text within the template:

1. To change the text, select the text layer you’d like to change and click on the Type Tool in
the Tools Palette.

2. Click on the text and update as you wish!
