What are some different definitions of curriculum?

1. Curriculum is prescriptive, and is based on a more general syllabus which merely


specifies what topics must be understood and to what level to achieve a particular grade
or standard.

2. Curriculum has numerous definitions, which can be slightly confusing. In its broadest
sense a curriculum may refer to all courses offered at a school.

3: Curriculum is all the experiences learners have under the guidance of the school.

4: Curriculum is the totality of learning experiences provided to students so that they


can attain general skills and knowledge at a variety of learning sites.

My observation

I observe that both Traditional Curriculum and Progressive Curriculum, are use by
it similarities in school teaching .Both curriculum have the same intention, and that is to
teach certain pupils with different approaches encompasses to the two curriculum that
will change and help the educational sector especially as a future educator.

What definition/ meaning of curriculum is observed by the teacher/s? Why?

Curriculum is the totality of learning experiences provided to students so that they can
attain general skills and knowledge at a variety of learning sites. I observed especially in
their performance task that student learn faster true their experiences.

If you were to design your curriculum, what are the things you need to consider?-

My insights

The different curriculum that are continuously revised over a period of time, we can say
that we as the learners are very thankful because we can be able to learn the certain
things that we have to acquire in our learning’s that we can use to change and help the
educational sector especially as a future educator.

What can you conclude based on your observation?

The teacher allows the students to speak during the discussion for some clarifications
and answer it with grace and full of follow up teachings about the certain parts that the
students are asking. The student talked with the teacher with great respect and
competitive in a way that they want to establish concrete learning outcome of their
studies.
My reflection

Curriculum is very important in the process of teaching of the teachers, on how they will
do to meet the curriculum’s aim and for educating the students to provide certain needs
of the students and to their progression.

Why is curriculum important?

A curriculum is important in an educational system. It helps the teacher to plan the


education process or procedure for a given period of time.

How can the teacher enrich the curriculum?

Teacher can lead the class through a wide range of explorations and research concepts.
You can use the countless built-in demonstration tools for core topics or quickly
configure your own.
