The Enclosure B174 Outdoor
Battery Backup Cabinet is the
recommended battery
backup solution for outdoor
radio base stations (RBS and
Enclosures) supplying -48 V
DC power in the event if AC
mains failure.

The Enclosure B174 has a

compact footprint with high
battery capacity, up to
-48 V/840 Ah, to support high
power sites with long backup
time. The active cooling
maximizes battery life in any
climate by means of a very
energy efficient design.
The optional integrated
heater ensures sufficient
battery capacity also in cold
climates. The cabinet is
designed to ventilate
hydrogen gas to a safe level
under all conditions. No
ventilation tubes are required.

For installation and

maintenance safety, optional
battery string circuit breakers
are available.
Cable lead-in, via sealed
cable glands, is possible from
both sides and from the
bottom.
