CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

In this industrial training, the students will be exposed

to real life situation in organizations and their related

environments. They will be placed at the public or private

sectors. All students was to get a belongings and freedom to

choose one organization or company which they bid a place

for the study at Kula Lumpur Metropolitan University (KLMU)

to facilitate all the matter which they will go on in the future.

The benefits of the training include increase students

self-confidence and enhance their employment prospects. Most

students will be confronted with challenges and problems,

which they have never gone through before.

Hence, this guide has been prepared for them, so that

they will be ready to deal with challenges and always ready to

adhere to the policies and procedures. By having the

understanding of this guideline, the students will be able to

cope with all difficulties that might arise during the training

and be able to complete their training effectively and

successfully.

Students also can get the advantage of their training for

example student can get new experience, get more knowledge

and every students can be matured after facing the challenge in

the job world.

1.1: TRAINING DATE

With the requirement towards graduation for Diploma in

Information Technology (software Engineering) at Kuala Lumpur

Metropolitan University College (KLMU) the practical student should

have completed their industrial training for at least seventeen weeks in

an organization. The practical student started his industrial training on

Monday, 7th September 2009 until Thursday, 31st December 2009.

1.2: COMPANY

I was training in JNA IT DEVELOPMENT (M) SDN BHD. The

company based Jalan Ipoh and the address at Office Suite 568-8-43,

Tingkat 8, Komplex Mutiara, Batu 3 ½ , Jalan Ipoh, 51200 Kuala

Lumpur.

1.4: RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

During the practical training, the practical training student was

assigned to assist trainer to conduct the training courses that held in

house or out site. Beside of that, student needs to done some

preparation of books and modules before training in English or Bahasa

Malaysia version. Call customer for appointment and Tele-marketing.

Answering calls from clients.

1.5: LESSONS LEARNED

The practical student learned several valuable lessons during

seventeen (17) weeks. During the industrial training, the practical

student was exposed the real working environment and gets acquainted

with the organization structure, business operations, and each

department function. This include important interpersonal, and

communication skills which is made a last minute decision to solve the

problem

about planning, organizing and leading skills in the organization and

also learned skills as cooperation, tolerance and being a good team

player especially in the event management as individual maturity, self

awareness and confidence.

1.6: ARRANGEMENT OF REPORT

This report is divided into five chapters. First chapter is

introduction. In this chapter the practical training student state the

introduction to practical training, duration of the practical training

program from started until last day training, company name and

history, assigned supervisors in the organization, responsibility and

tasks that make by practical training student, and also the lesson

learned is how the practical training student should arrange the report.

Second chapter is on background of the company. In this

chapter, the practical student explained information of the company

formation, shareholders, corporate identity, mission and vision, Board

of Directors, organization chart, delivery channels and products and

services.

Third chapter is training experience. This is where the practical

student elaborates her daily work responsibilities. The practical student

describes her tasks briefly, problem encountered and ways to solve the

problem and improved on tasks.

The fourth chapter draws on training assessment and

evaluation. Training is assessed and suitability of organization is

commented on. The practical student also lists a weaknesses and

recommendations.

Finally, the practical student draws an overall conclusion of the

entire training experience.
