What are coping skills and coping activities?


Coping skills or activities are skills or activities people use to cope or "relax" or de-stress from all the
stress they may feel from every day life.

What is stress?
Stress is a feeling you get when you are around stressors. Often times people feel overwhelmed because
of these stressors. Think of it like having a lot of homework to do and it doesn’t seem to end. Stress is
normal, but also beatable.

What are examples of coping skills?


Some activities people use to cope with everyday life stressors include sleeping, playing sports, writing,
journaling, listening to music. Anything that can make you feel relaxed is a coping skill or a way to cope.
