These sheets provide a premise and a set of built-in
connections to a central MC character that will help tie the
group together and will provide a custom move to kick off play.
To use this scenario, cut each of these half-pages out. The MC takes
their sheet. The rest should be displayed for the players to choose
before they select their Skins.
You all know Darren, one way or another. And he likes you all
well enough to have invited you to his big New Year’s Eve party
this year! That’s a pretty big win for weirdos like you, because
all the popular kids are gonna be there.
In addition to being invited to the party, Darren got each of
you a gift for Christmas last week that somehow reflects your
relationship with him.
You’re The MC, Darren is Your Character

Run the game like normal Monsterhearts, following all
Principles. When starting the game, have the players tell each
other about their relationships with Darren during character
introductions. A Seating Chart is unnecessary if this is meant
to be a one-shot, but you should populate the party if you
intend to use this scenario as a kick-off for a full season of play.
Darren is generally a blank slate for you to work with. You can
always use him to spur drama if characters are isolated, and
he can slip into the background if player drama is going strong.
It will be helpful to come up with the layout of the party
house, as it will be the focal point of the party. If you’re doing a
Seating Chart, populate the rooms instead of a classroom.
