Minangkabau art is very diverse. Minangkabau is located in west Sumatra.

Dance is one of the Minangkabau cultures. Dance is often used in traditional party or
a wedding celebration.

Minangkabau dance is not only played by woman, but also by men. The
characteristic of minangkabau dance is fast, loud, stomping, and dynamic.

One of the dances is plate dance. Plate dance or tari piriang (Minang
Language) is a traditional dance that derived from Solok, west Sumatra. Plate is the
medium in this dance. Another traditional dances in Indonesian are Kecak dance,
Jaipong dance, Saman dance, etc. It shows national diversity in our beloved country,
Indonesian.
