Group 2 (Physical Education)

Dodge Ball/Batuhang Bola

Introduction

Dodgeball or Batuhang Bola is a game in which players on two teams try to throw balls at each

other while avoiding being hit themselves.

General Rules

 Play will be 4 on 4. A minimum of 3 is required to start the game.

 Coin toss will decide who will be the defensive and offensive team.

 No substitutions will be allowed once a game has started, expect for injuries. There is a 15

second stall count between each game for substitutions. No substitutions will be allowed

after the 15 second count.

 Team may substitute between games.

 Thirty (30) minute time limit. Team with the most wins in the 30 minutes will be deemed

the winner. If teams are tied, there will be a sudden death game to determine match winner.

 All players must wear non-marking rubber-soled athletic shoes.

Game time is forfeit time, if your team is not there at your scheduled time you will forfeit.

 Offensive team will place 1 player each on the shooter position and 2 players on assist

position behind the shooter.

Mechanics

Teams - composed of 6 members each ( 3 girls & 3 boys) the Offensive & Defensive team.
Offensive team

Shooters - Two team members that will throw the ball at the Deflectors.

Assist - Four (4) offensive team members positioned behind the shooter to recover the ball

thrown by the way other shooter. 2 Assists are positioned behind each shooter.

- Defensive Team

Deflectors - 5 team members of the defensive team positioned in the middle of the court

trying to avert getting hit by the ball thrown by the shooters.

Substitute - 1 team member of the defensive team ready to substitute for any team member.

Referee - Two (2) or One (1) im each side.

should all be able to throw stuff, hit stuff, run, and jump. It’s important.”
